FredCC Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 (edited) Hi all, This question may have been asked many times before (and in this case I apologize in advance) but I'd like to know what colour is a UK EF-2000? (yeah yeah I know it's grey, but which FS grey?) A Gunze paint number would be great. Thanks. Fred Edited November 29, 2007 by FredCC
Stephen Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 (edited) RAF Eurofighter/Typhoon colours sound to be as follow: Overall: BS381C no. 626 Camouflage (Barley) Grey. Cockpit is BS381C no. 632 Dark Admiralty Grey. Leading and trailing edge flap interiors: FS595B 36280 (Slightly lighter than RAF Ocean Grey). Intake Flap interior: BS381C no. 626 Camouflage (Barley) Grey. Intakes (Aft of intake flap - Inside intake ducting): FS595B 26492. Radome: FS595B 36314 Flint Grey (This is supposedly an FS equivalent to Barley Grey, however looking at the real aircraft it appears to have a slight brownish tint). Suggestion adding a dash of Dark Earth to BS381C no. 626 Stephen Edited November 28, 2007 by Stephen
zeke Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 What an excellent answer...thanks Stephen, I don't think I've seen it laid out so precisely before...
Bobski Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Don't forget to make the side consoles and glare shield (is that right word? the part with the HUD on it) in the cockpit matt black. This is for NVG compatibility and the RAF are very picky about this. The radome is unpainted, but the colour is somewhere between Barley Grey and Flint Grey.
