While building my current 1/48 F4U with its 8 aftermarket resin rockets and in the process of folding 16 multiple bend tiny PE mounting brackets, I thought others may find it useful on how I go about it.

This is the starting point, in this case some Eduard PE.

If I can build a quick and dirty jig to do the folding job I will. Definitely when there are multiples of the same - simplifies, speeds and ensures they're all the same.

So I knocked up this little jig from polysytrene by drilling a hole in some card and gluing in a post of the rocket diameter, glued a square shape equivalent to the top form of the bracket and a slot to take the PE piece.

Load up your prepared strip.

Using tweezers and a toothpick form your bracket.

And it's done. Quick and easy. Also less likely to spring off into the nether regions. Ready to adjust and glue in place.

Let me know if you have other techniques.
