Hopefully this subject qualifies for the GB. The 2005 WRC car raced in 2006 Rally New Zealand by Valentino Rossi. He finished in 11th place, his main career was bike racing but he seemed to have managed to get into a lot of motorsports. Instructions - typical Hasegawa, should be pretty clear if only monochrome foldout paper. Parts all bagged (main sprues in a single back). Decals look nice, I have some aftermarket window masks - though not 100% sure they are for this exact model of Impreza, I think the kit does come with front and rear masks anyhow - but maybe the side masks will be useful. Here's the main sprues - not much detail on the underside of the chassis (usually there's quite a bit that then gets covered over with scratch plates, etc.) More black plastic parts. I decided to make a start - for better or worse I've attached the huge rear wing, roof intake and bonnet intake after sanding back the mould lines. This might make painting a bit tricky, getting into all those nooks and crannies but will save the paint work from my ham-fisted attempts to glue it together after paint. Four of the roof holes needed filling as per the instructions - this is just a quick first pass with some AK water based acrylic filler. I'll let it dry/sink back then refill again - I do like my silicon brushes for applying it and then nice thing being water based is if you don't leave it too long - you can clean up the excess with a damp paper towel, though it does risk scalloping a bit out of the filled area, leaving a dent. Interior - hard to see in the image but there's a floor plate added (where the rear seats would be) and a parcel shelf attached. Rather a lot of ejector pin marks on the floor though - hopefully not overly visible when finished as they would be very difficult to get to for clean up. One interesting thing is the instructions call out for the interior to be a mix of metallic and bright blue (Subaru team colours) with a white section under the seats. That should make for some visual interest at least, rather than a sea of black!

Another car build for the GB, this time a Subaru... I'll post all the sprue shots, etc. when I get started. I'll probably just go straight OOB though may scratch build a few seatbelt straps.

Hello Guys! This was my last project in 2015

So another of my recent completed builds. Had this model a couple of year, got it from a car show for about £15ish lol It needed to be started fairly soon as the decals were very slightly yellowing. No problems with the build, pretty straight forward. Pics Ahoy: I decided to build the Piero Liatti no.4 car as opposed to the more commonly seen Mcrae car. I empolyed my seat belt cheat trick here and i'll be using it again on the Escort. If anyone cant work it out from the pics you'll have to stay tuned on my build to find out TTFN

Hello, this is my Subaru Impreza 2001 of the pilot Richard Burns, I had problems with the decals, so I had to repaint some of them. At the end it was good.

Hi all. This is my recently completed project. After all the mistakes made on this model I think its time to put it behind me and move on. Hopefully the next model will be better.

Hi All, I havent posted in a while so here are some shots of my latest project which seems to be going on forever. You know the feeling when you turn over the instructions page expecting there to be just a couple of steps left only to find you still have a LONG way to go ? Anyway here it is Its the Tamiya kit. The body is all but finished and hopefully it will all come together soon. Hope you like.
