Going with my theme of things in pairs for this build (see my two Blenheim threads) I have decided to put a couple of Hotspur gliders together. A good friend on mine at my IPMS Mid-Sussex club, Paul Janicki, gave me a 1979 Scale Aircraft Modelling which had an article about how to make such a beastie. I was aware that there was an experiment to combine two fuselages but having this 'old school' article really fired me into action. Having already collected three kits (Novo manufacture) there was nothing to stop me Very inspiring box art One of the kits With a guide like this it should be quite easy. Stuff like this is right down my alley 🙂

This is my first post of a model I have built on this forum. I resumed building models about seven years ago and I have completed a few. I added a ClearVax canopy and added some interior details.

With the Football club being in the news currently with its management change, it reminded me I hadn't posted pictures of the competed build, which was done in the Frog Squad Group Build, so here it is I hope you like it. Work in progress below Let me know what you think Cheers Pat

Now if you are thinking this I like your style, however, what I have in mind is this I think mine is the original Frog one but it's lost its box Cheers Pat

I did this kit as an exercise in airbrushing doing the camouflage freehand and the underneath as a masking exercise. I also bought some galeria matt varnish to try as well. The decals come from a P40 decal sheet as the novo ones didn't age at all. The wheels got lost somewhere in the past and as the wheels were jettisonable i didn't put them on. S on the nose comes from an airfix P38 and the serials are not on as I dont know which ones the aircraft carried but not to worry Normal proviso best seen from 5ft away BTW I used the £4 airbrush that was touted on here a few months ago Rodders

Built from the Frog kit, this was going to be a simple OOB build but then I got carried away... I detailed the cockpit, scribed the panel lines, corrected the undercarriage so it's a single leg like the real aircraft, moved the starboard front window nearer the door, moved (and accurized) the nose light and fitted the tow point. I decided to finish it in a "what if" operational scheme. Fun build!
