  1. Does anyone know what bomb sight the Commonwealth Liberators would carry? I'm not thinking they would use the Norden sights seeing as they were so secret. But I really have no idea what they might have used. I am getting everything together to build a 1/32 RCAF BR10 Sqn GR VI . Thanks in advance for any help. James Knaus
  2. This is very cool. Where can one find the stl files? Thanks. James

Thanks Okay a bit of painting and such. Dry fit the exhaust and glued the struts to the bottom wing. Have top in place to ensure alignment. The top wing adds a lot of weight. Have more touch ups where I cut wing from sprue and struts from sprue. My thread came in from WNW but the decals where not there. Waiting for a reply from them. James
  4. Beautiful. Really fascinated by the spark plug leads and will definitely try the foil seat covering. Very nice stuff. James

Thanks all. Bit more. Lynx was upset I didnt show him first. He has to inspect every model. Very good at not touching, but has to have it presented for an eyeing and sniff. James

Have been plugging at this for a little while. Sorry, not much of a tale to tell. The Silver Grey was made by using a ruler and measuring from the bottom of a pill jar up. 1 tick at 1cm and another at 3cm. Grey to first tick and aluminum up to 2nd tick. Then poured into an Andrea dropper bottle. Here's the pics so far. PS seatbelts are Radubs and exhuast is Tiger Model And undergoing QA James

    Roland D VI

Have not been as industrious as I should lately. Here is where I am so far. I have some touching up of the stripes then start painting panels etc. I somehow misaligned the engine although I cant see it. But the panels don't fit so the engine will be exposed. Could be something worse. Comment and critiques welcome. James

Little bit more done. Fuse is buttoned up. Just sitting on bottom wing. And with a gun just resting James

Picture of the seat belts didnt come out. But they are on . Engine frame doesnt fit too well so I have some work ahead to figure that out. Buttoned it up with some tape to see what I could see. And the scheme will be this one James
  11. Hi, I'm new here and joined as this seems to be the place to go for WWI aircraft.I recently got the Gotha and Roland D VI for Christmas and have started the Roland. Hopefully you'll be able to point out short comings etc and help me get this built as I'm more of a WWII and modern modeler. Did the wood in Vallejo buff and then burnt umber. Batched up the green grey with vallejo aircolour rlm 02 and pale green and olive green and white to get to what looked right to me. Have one Master Model gun built. And got uo to the frame construction. Will build the Radub seatbelts tonight or tomorrow and install them and the seat . Thoughts comments or critiques welcome. James
