Primer on.... Next up WWI British khaki/brown
-
Ready for primer.... Bigs and bobs just dry fitted.....
-
More work..... Added the wiring from control panel to engine and finished the laser sight thingy for the shoulder. Need to add a little texturing here and there and then can paint.....
-
Thanks, need to look at that some more
-
At least it isn't legless!!! All parts clicked on to allow easier painting
-
Oh I agree....
-
Yep, think mine looks more rust than earth
-
Tha k you, but don't expect too much from my past builds ...
-
AFV Club M728 Combat Engineer Vehicle
-
Complete. final photos taken....
-
Calling it complete. I will get some better photos to formally finish the build....
-
Chains on. They need rusting a touch, then I am on to dust
-
Thanks all. @TeaWeasel I buttoned it all up. You will be able to see the transmission and front of the engine but that's it. I wasn't overly happy with the finish
-
Thanks... I ummed and ahhhed over doing it, glad I did
-
Gone for a what if winter scheme.... Bit of quick distressing with water quite quickly after white went.... Rest will be achieved with weathering
-
Stowage time.... Need to paint the straps and add a Matt coat
-
Build started... Opened a panel just for the heck of it....
-
And this is the dozer blade .. think I need to add some more silver to highlight fresh bare metal...
-
Not the greatest of photos but some oil streaking done...
-
thanks - I had seen that set and could use it for inspiration... My other thought would be to have it in maintenance so that there was a "screen" that went over the interior to stop debris falling in - sort of like the covers over jet engine intakes - that way I need to put in a plastic cover with a handle... having said that, I wanted to open a panel up but the only big one is under the canister (whatever it is - black on your build) on the side) so don't think I will do that either
-
Thanks. This is AK interactive khaki green number 3 (from their afv counter set) I think
-
Nice build... Planning to do mine brown/blue like a WWI British armoured car.... Do you have any photos of the "cockpit" area?
-
This build has been pushed up to see if I can enter the paint on plastic Ma.K 2025 competition. Starting off with the Wave Prowler but may look to open a few access panels with a long term aim to build a bit of a vignette of it being serviced.... Would mean some scratch building - biggest of which would be to allow me to have an empty cockpit Box and sprues
-
And now the chassis and engine are green. I really like this colour so will leave it all as it is... Need to paint some details....
-
Exterior primed.... The friul tracks seem to be rubbing clean which is annoying, assume I hadn't cleaned them well enough so they may need painting a touch...
