  2. Thank you all guys, I really apreciate your words. I have to make a little pause on this project because I have to scratchbuild 2 models, and one of them is for december (not too much time for me!!!!) They are an embraer 111, and a EADS CASA-295 both of them from the Chilean Navy. I will try to continue some how with this one (it is for me) So, see you next post. Agustin
  3. Hi Wayne, thanks for your coments. For big cuts I am using a pneumatic tool (from my work) then dremel, and finally manual lime, and lots of patience....... Agustin
  4. Thanks for the explanation man, and for watching See you
  5. Hello, just some little work..... I added the flaps and ailerons to the wings and prepared them to start painting ......soon...... Then I started working on the main landing gear, first made of plastic But I realised it was going to be very weak, so after thinking a lot I decided to try with metal, in spanish called "laton" kind of bronze (think so) Of course no detail, that is going to be added of plastic I am going to use an old pair of wheels, because I donĀ“t feel able to make them from scratch, I know they are not the same ones as in the real plane, but at least they are the correct size. Ok ok, I know, I have to paint them again...... Hope you like it!!!! See you soon
  6. Thanks Angels 49, as I always say it isnĀ“t so dificult as it seems, just try yourself. Yes Phartycr0c, the colour is like this RAF TUCANO Thanks for watching See you on next post

  9. First of all thans to everybody for your kind words, I really apreciate them. Here is a very little update.... The rudder It was made of 2 mm plastic (3 of them together) Ahh and also the first scribing atempt......not very good, but I learned some things for the rest of the model..... Hope you like it See you
  10. Hi Mike, thanks for looking and for your words. This is not my first scratchbuilt model, but yes I could tell you is the first serious one. I choose the Tucano just because I love the design and also because I really like the paint scheme used by Linton-on-Ouse. Thanks again for looking and any suggestions are welcome. Keef, same as Mike thanks a lot for your words. See you next post Cheers Agustin
  11. Thanks Chris for your words, I am happy that you like it!!! See you at the next post Agustin
  12. Derek, thanks for your comments, I appreciate them, specially after looking at your work, I think I have seen all your topics here and also in LSP forums, I really enjoy them. Now you can understand why you find your buiding techniques similar to mine.......... I have learn from your work I wish I could achieve just a little percent of your skills Maybe I could ask you "how to do" some things during my building?? Regards
  13. Hi Kirk, yes, it always separates easily from the filler. Just check that in the place you are going to put the filler, the film is stretch. Glad to help.
  14. Hello everybody!! a little update of my work, not much, but making some progress. Well the pictures.... First of all, I had to cut the fuselage and the wings for placing them in the correct place. Yes it was a little bit scary!! Here you can also see the wheel weels inserted into the wings And the results Here the turbine exhaust, made in 2 parts so I can separate it and vacuforme it, and some air intakes, same as the one near the nose that you can see some pictures above I hope you like it See you soon
  15. Phartycr0c, thanks for your words, its is not so dificult as you think, it is not a special, try your own. Of course start with a simple model, and donĀ“t give up in the way!!! chrismac60, really like your work, it looks beautifull, I will paint mine like this one http://www.airliners.net/photo/UK---Air/Sh...cano/1490441/M/ see you
  16. Hello friends, I have been very busy in my job and house, so unfortunately I have not too much time for my project. Well just some little progress I want to share with all of you. Thanks for all the comments, and for looking. Lets go to the pictures First the back part of the canopy, the detonation cord. Here I had to stop using the plastic rod because there was too many curves, so some wire was usefull Here is the nose wheel well inserted into the fuselage, it is just a box because I coludnĀ“t find any pictures..... And the wing wheel weels ( just one at the moment) And finally some work on the fuselage That is all for the moment, hope you like it. See you.
  17. Thanks to everybody for the encouragement. I was making some tests over the surface of the fuselage and I realised that maybe I wonĀ“t need to make the plastic skin (vacuformed) the scribing seems to work ok. So that will save me a lot of time, and I will be able to use the wings shown some days ago. More pictures soon!!!!!! Bye
  18. Hello all, here again but with not very good news. I finished the 2 wings with the same "procedure" of the fuselage. But when I glued the plastic "skin" (not vacuformed) all the imperfections appeared. I am not very glad with the results so tonight I will think if I make them again, this time completely in plastic. The problem is that I will need a software for making the wing ribs. Well, here are the pictures, I donĀ“t think you will notice my problem. Here I cut the wheel wells in the plastic (this is the underside) The idea was to make a hole in the upside of the wing and introduce the wheel wells, after put some putty and finished gluing the skin See you next time
  19. Thanks everybody again for your kind words. Yes Murdo it is a 2 part putty, used mostly in car repairs. Very easy to use but not so good to scribe panel lines, so my idea is to make a "palstic skin" to all the plane with 3 mm plasticard (vacuforming each part) that is why I made it in halves. thanks for looking See you
  20. Thanks guys for the comments I really apreciate them. Skii, your work with the B2 is really impressive, I am following your building since the first post. Lawnguylander, I donĀ“t have plans, just a 3 view drawing from the internet and scaled up to 1/32 in a photocopy machine, very rustic way..... if it is useful I could send you the initial drawing Vickers McFunbus, thank you very much for the offer I will have it in mind. I am now working on the first wing.......geting closer to work on the wheel wells so again if there is anybody who have pictures of them.......please......
  21. JakeEaton, Darius at Home, MarkSH and Mike, thanks for your words. I will be posting my progress. The only problem is that I am not very fast, so the updates arenĀ“t so often. See you.
  22. The seats are paragon MK10, I think they use MK8 but was the nearest model I found in 1/32 Of course I made them some modificatios The canopy was made of 3 parts, an inside frame, th transparent vacuformed plastic and an external frame made also with vacuformed styrene, and cut it to the correct shape the detonation cord is made of 5mm styrene rod (is not finished yet) another test fit and a general picture whit the diferent parts And that is all for now. Any comments and suggestions are welcome Sorry if I made language mistakes
  23. Preparing the canopy mold and now the cockpit
  24. Hi everybody, I am new here. I am from Chile and I would like to share with you my projet. Afterwords I also would like to ask for some help. Well, As the tittle says, I am building a Short Tucano, as this one RAF TUCANO I started some time ago (2008) so there is something advanced, but the help I need is of pictures of the landing gear and the wheel bays, I havenĀ“t find pictures of that. If there is somebody here who works with the plane, flies it, etc. who could send some pictures I would be very grateful. 3Well here are the pictures The fuselage is divided in 3 and each part in halves Tail nose and cockpit Here a test fit
