  1. Just few more photos. Paints used in this build were tamiya x & xf range using badger partiot 105 airbrush. Clear coat was brushed on Klear, after my calsonic disaster I did not want to chance it. Thin layers of Klear and overnight drying gave nice results. Decals vere a pain especially front fender and front fairing. There was some decals cracking even after lots of vallejo decal fix & decal softener.
  2. Any tips on printintg decals? Have mono laser printer and some decal paper but no luck trying to print full page carbon pattern in 1/24 scale.
  3. And let me tell you lads, I don't even like harleys. I used to have a k5 gsxr600 myself IRL but this thing is something really different from my usual 1/24 scale cars. The pics does not do it justice. There is few more shots taken with a proper camera so check it here soon. Cheers
  4. Just realised that the one in the stash is actually an r31 LOL.
  5. This one was put on hold for like 6+ months. Finally I got a chance to start, while missus was away Build in 10 days, no time to take photos for WIP. Not perfect by any means but I'm happy with it. Enjoy!
  6. Claaaasss man! Thanks for that. Have one of them in my stash, may look into it in january. I just managed to finish 1/6 tamiya harley in 10 days, so thats it this year. ATB
  7. Any chance of few more photos of the two r30 skylines? Great work!
  8. Few more bits done Now even more cracks appearing in the clear. May just spray it with clear matt and just leave it at that.
  9. Thanks for the kind comments lads. Here is a quick update: Number plate now in the back Wheels wash now done
  10. Oh I see. I use tamiya X & XF 10ml jars with airbrush. Got a bottle of Klear and it was good but not as good as ratle can if it comes to shine level. But its no good at all if it cracks. I'm puzzled now.. I have lots of createx paints that I used to use on 1/10 scale bodyshells and now the missing part is clear coat that would not react with tamiya X & XF range and createx paints. Not too happy to leave it kind of half way finished if you know what I mean. I would love to get close to the level of the work that is presented here on this very forum... Thanks for a quick answer Ashley. And btw I would love your comment on my skyline hakosuka when its done
  11. Blue because there is few blue bits around the car like suspension springs and other small bits. Thanks Steve, will go with Your advice. Watch this space - I will update the photos when its done. Cheers!
  12. Could be that. I used tamiya paint, then Klear, decals, Klear again and last was rustoleum clear gloss (that I used before on other models). It was bad idea after all. Turns out that other r33 has cracks all over, same rustoleum spray used on it. Back to square one - looking for shiny clear coat - this time soomething that I could use in an airbrush and would not react with tamiya or createx paints.
  13. Thanks for the input Steve. The wheels can be touched up no prob. There is centre badge there - water transfer supplied with the kit but barely visible white decal on silver background. Would black wash with blue wheelnuts look good? Also there is a number plate to in the back as well. Cheers Max.
