Hi . Just in the process of finishing a mk 5b Tropical and clipped wing spitfire. It flew with 601 squadron in the middle east. Can any one tell me what the aerial arrangement was for this mark of spitfire and if where it flew had any bearing on the aerial configuration. Thanks in advance

Hi Can anyone give me an idea of what was the colours used for the cockpit.

HI- just after a bit of info as to the undercarriage colour of a tamiya spitfire Vb that i am doing at the moment. Its in desert camo and the instructions indicate that the undercarriage should be painted entirely in Azzure blue .Except for the oleo part which is in chrome. The model will depict an spitfire of 601 squadron. Can anyone tell me if this is the correct way to paint that part of the kit?

Hi - just a note to ask if anyone can advise me about the causes and possible cure for a problem that has arisen with my iwata highline airbrush. That problem being that when i spray, the spray dosn't spray straight out of the brush, but a few degrees to the right. I have examined the needle , which is new but cant find anything wrong there. There is no apparent problem which i can see at the point where the needle sticks through the nozzle. The gap is conistant . I did find though that un tightening the needle cap and nozzle cup that the spray corrected itself. Had a close look at those but couldnt see anything wrong there.Thanks in advance🙂

Hi Could do with advice about the use of ultrasonic cleaners for airbrushes. Firstly , can they do any harm to the brushes themselves?. Secondly what cleaning fluid is best used in them. Thirdly what size would be recommended. Thanks in advance🙂

Hi i am contemplating getting a H&S airbrush. Presently i use a iwata compressor and iwata airbrushes. What i need to know is if i can use the air hose that i have at the moment or will i have to also purchase a new pipe/adaptor for the H&S.?. Also i intend to get the model with the smallest nozzel for very fine work. Anyone offering good prices which you could recommend. Thanks.

Hi - Hope everyone is ok and building lots of great kits during the lock down. Just a bit of info needed about a bf 109 E-1 / 1/32 eduard kit that i am building at the moment. what i need to know is that is it legitimate to leave out the armoured head rest from this build. I have seen it included in other peoples builds, and also not included. The aircraft that i am intending to portray is yellow 3 of 6./JG 52 and is depicted as is was in may 1940. The kit part is not great and is dicy in the manner of its attachment to the canopy. Thanks in advance.

Hi - Hope someone can help me with this. I am building a desert scheme tomahawk and have come across a problem with the middle stone colour Mr hobby aquieous 'H71'. It looks far too rich and bright to my eyes. Just wonder if anyone else has the same opinion and have worked around it by adding different colours or sourcing a different make of colour. Been reading this thread for awhile now as like many others I have been awaiting a decent mk14 to be made in kit form. I recieved my copy last week and have had some time to study it. Overall it's a bit of a curets egg. The overall shape seems fine and the molding quality varies. The main wings and body are on a par with most kits from airfix these days and the panel lines are reasonable but not upto tamiya standard. The plastic on the main 'detail sprue' are of not the same quality. They exhibit a bit of roughness and the defiition is not the best, though not the worst. 'See the canons for what i mean'. The canopies are good by airfix standards. The main thing i dont like is the fact that the bulged engine covers are not molded as part of the fuselage as they are on the airfix mk19. I feel that this will undermine the look of any finished model as it's in such a prominent position. That seam around the covers will be difficult to conceal. Als i am not a fan of having to cut off the wingtips.

Hi could anybody tell me what colour was generally used for the cockpits of Battle of Britain era Heinkel 111P'S. I am about to embark on the build of my new tool Airfix kit, where it recommends a dark grey. I always thought though that the colour generally used at that time was 02 grey. Thanks in advance.

Hi - i wonder if anyone can tell me if i need any weight in the nose of the eurofighter model. I am building a 1/72 Hasegawa kit of this aircraft but the instructions dont indicate if any weight is needed.🙄

Hi - just a note asking if anyone can point me to a cheap source of cleaning thinner for the clean up of my airbrush after using Mr Color paint. This is the lacquer paint and not the aquieous. Till now i have been using the Mr Colour thinner 250 and 400. This is an expensive so anything which will be a good substitute will be welcome. - Thanksnull

Hi just an quick enquirie about a 1/35 fieseler Storch fi 156 a-o kit i have purchased recently. Its a nice kit and made by Hobby Boss, and I would like to know if there are any after market items for this kit.
