That's correct Maudesman, they are met by a convoy of ambulances and Police motorbikes by the old terminal and are taken to the QE hospital in Selly Oak. BHX see C17s, C130s and Tristar's in this role, while there are often visits from Pumas and Chinooks to the hospitals themselves. Steve

Not as busy as weekdays, but things do happen. You generally won't get the training flights and continuous circuits that go with it, but you will get KC-135s going on operations and a variety of visitors that sometimes night stop. Steve

Ah, I've been thinking about doing one of these myself in 1/48 - looked everywhere for one in that scale at last year's airshows, but it eventually slipped my mind! Steve

They sure did, I've seen images of B-17s with kill-markings by the individual turret - there's a pic of a tail turret somewhere with the wording "Rat Poison" and an arrow next to it, with two skull and crossbones symbolising the kills! Steve
