crookedmouth Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Now complete. The build thread can be found here This kit is a cracker and it was easy to build - clip all the bits off the sprues, give the box a good shake and you're ready to paint! Apart from those bloody rockets, that is. They're better designed than Trumpeter's rockets, but only just. The finish is for a TAF Tiffie - I assumed that it would be fairly beaten up from frequent ops and a bit muddy from all those grass strip scrambles. As is the case with all of my builds, it's far from perfect, but I like to think that it's a small improvement on my last aeroplane. Thanks all for paying attention. Any comments, positive or negative are welcome. (PS Sorry about the crappy photos)
Paul A H Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I think you've captured the brutal look of the real thing quite nicely there
crookedmouth Posted April 12, 2010 Author Posted April 12, 2010 Thanks for the friendly comments chaps & chapess. I'm less happy with it the more I look at it. I think that the "weathering" is way overdone. It doesn't look half as rough in the flesh, but even so it's still a bit ham fisted. Still, it's an OK model of a really nice plane and that counts for a lot in my book.
