John.R
Hi,As well as another Virago to build I picked this one up from Widnes Model Centre today, here's the box and sprue shot's to start off with:At the moment I haven't decided if its going to be finished in Silver, Red or Black, but I picked up a tin of Tamiya TS-58 Pearl Light Blue while I was there and possibly that may be used.If I do go down the Pearl route, is it best to pre-spray the fairings/front fender/side panels black or a similar dark colour to get the pearl look? Thanks for Looking! John. P.s The Virago is possibly going to be a pearl scheme as well, although it may end up with a gold effect!
John.R
Just a smallish update:After giving the fairings a few light coats of Tamiya Gloss Pearl Light Blue, here is how they currently look:Completed the engine assembly in Humbrol 11 Silver Metallic and assembled the componants before adding the spark plugs and HT cables. From looking at the instructions, at the moment I can't seem to figure out the point that they attach to the rest of the bike? Thanks for Looking!
vinnie the panda
Nice looking engine. I'm pretty sure the 750 had twin ignition coils mounted underneath the tank somewhere near the top of the frame.

AngstROM
Looking on with interest -one of my favourite steeds from dem mad days! If you had one of these with a dodgy 4 into 1, a cheapo JBW jacket, Simpson bandit lid and cowboy boots (or Kickers!) you really didn't need a Jota and multi-coloured beef topside with Dainese written on the legs...it was FUN, I tells ya! I wonder what happened...?
Doug Rogers
As Riggers says, they don't attach to anything on the kit, they just sit under the tank. Did this kit a little while ago, builds up very nicely.

Are the coils not moulded to the top of the frame, one on each side?, I was led to believe they were but that could just have been the US police version
John.R
Update 3:Hi,After loosing a part of the rear Suspension to what I thought was the Carpet Monster, it turned out instead to be a desktop monster... The part had managed to get through a gap of a couple of cm before wedging itself between the Graphics Card & motherboard!.I've now attached the Rear subframe/Wheel/Suspension to the kit, and currently this is how its looking: Thanks for Looking! vinnie the panda
The coils are moulded to the frame, the two little cylinders just under the v of the frame. http://images.cmsnl.com/img/partslists/honda-cb500-500-four-k2-1973-usa-wire-harness_bighu0102f3029_d91e.gif

Hopefully the next post will be in RFI as the front end has now been attached, same with the Four into Two exhaust system which just means I have to attach the Tank/Levers/Dash/Fairings and then spend a bit of time putting the decals on and it will be finished!
