marty_hopkirk
Not seen this mentioned elsewhere on the forum (apologies if it has) possibly because it only aired on BBC 1 Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. A nice little documentary on the dambuster raid with Martin Shaw of The Professionals fame. I'm further not sure if these regional programmes make it onto iPlayer or not? But it's worth a search. Marty... Thanks for this Marty. If I hadn't been watching David Jasons programme about the Battle of Britain on the ITV player I would have seen it. Just checked, and it will be available on the BBC iPlayer, probably starting tomorrow. galgos
It ain't worth watching. It tells nothing new, perpetuates many of the old myths and contains inaccuracies. Max
lampie
Very enjoyable documentary. Thanks for heads up. I particularly liked the footage shot in the old Officers Mess and Gibsons office at Scampton. marty_hopkirk
Not perhaps the the in depth expose the title alludes too. But, given it's only 30mins long and went on BBC 1 at prime time, albeit only in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, I found a good little programme - I particularly liked the German angle and I was not aware that dams are now illegal targets.
