FW190A8 and Bf109G6 Mals Way, OOB (i wished) will be next to my B-17G

Recommended Posts

Allright the saga continues,

these will be next to the B-17G ive finnished few days ago.

Started on Saturday, first out is the FW190A8.

first impressions of theese kits, fantastic, crisp details, and fit, heads up here, wil be shown later, to avoid putty and more work...simole tricks here, to keep it as intact as possible with delicate details.

early noticed few things, the kits machine guns on the wings, they have to go, do my own, also no PE in this kit, using the decals provided for seat harness and IP

small note, machine gun, used a syringe and brass tubes..

note the gaps, dong go bananas over the gaps on the engine cowling on theese butcher birds, as yes there were gaps, note the rail on the belly and the fueltanks console, made sure there is a small gap...plastic card tiny pieces.

The engine fan got a new shaft made out of brass and the bearing aswell (slide in tubes) i do that regulary on all my kits i build, way superior imo..Mals Way.

Now let the pics do the talking.

geez mottling in this scale is completely something else compared to 1:32 lol.

this will do just fine for me.

Jihaa...Got little building time...and hour....free...

so hey, more masking and painting, lower engine cowling, masked and om curved areas, used liquid mask, superior for theese small ones, then pink and then yellow...and tesa fine tape, also the trimms were painted red.

may look like i get a decent model out of this and will do just fine next to the B-17G.

Geez, camo painting and mottling were freehand, and homebrew, like em field patched look late ww2...1:32 is one thing but in 1:72 is something else lol

Little done this evening, hatch on the side got paint the one that balkenkreutz covers little, the panels at the sides after exhaust pipes got homebrew Tamiya, it says black, hell no, not in this scale, so rubber black, grey and blue mix to desired tone, a few wonder why, if go black, then it is black, you cant do nothing more, specially when stains and exhaust gasses comes on top...way better, so to say Mals Way.

Also first timer with Eduard decals with film, now dry properly tomorrow
