    Does anybody out there know, which type of Sutton harness was used on the Lancaster bomber's pilot seat? Are there also any aftermarket belts for the other crew stations available? I'd like to use paper ones (HGW, RB) in my future 1/32 project.

    I'm currently gathering references and materials to build a 1/72 P-47D-22 razorback , HD154, '18' that served with 73 OTU, Fayid, Egypt. Were their P-47's flown with the standard USAAF seat harness or were they fitted with the Sutton? I know from my research that they were originally finished in ANA approved colors at the factory, but were repainted with correct RAF paint upon arrival, as their journey as deck cargo played hell with the original finish.
