This sorta attacked me from the bushes. These builds stalled 3 years ago in Rich's F-16 STGB, maybe I got overexcited back then... Now I know this is doable during the whole year long They Also Serve GB. And this is a multi-GB-theme build, though it only includes the BM:s most hated aircraft; not only one but five grey F-16 MLU:s! Which themes, then? 1) Nordic; Denmark, Inherent Resolve 2) Small Wars; Norway, Odyssey Dawn 3) 90's NATO; The Netherlands, Allied Force 4) Yanks Abroad; Belgium, Tiger Meet 5) KUTA (yes); Portugal, Baltic Air Policing Edit: 6) Italy, no specific ops I'll describe the specific planes better, later. I try to show the differences (!) in their grey camouflage and change in weaponry in last close to 20 years. Well, not 50 shades, but... Plenty. Old notes from three years back Fuselage halves. Tails etc. All things F-16. Including a pair of Mavericks too. Litenings, Snipers and JDAM:s. Decals and DACO strenghtening plates. Wish me luck! V-P

Hi all, Back again with another build blog. This time it's a double build of the 1/32 Academy F-16CG/CJ kit. The first is a Norwegian F-16 from the Gulf War 2 era (2004): (pic credit: f-16.net) The other is a Turkish F-16D Block 50+: (pic credit fineartamerica.com) The first comes from the vanilla F-16 kit: The D comes from limited edition kit from Korea: The customer has provided me with a dazzling array of aftermarket items including Big Ed photoetch for both, Aires wheelwells and Wheelliant wheels, Aires cockpit for the single-seater and tailpipe set for the Block 50. The Aires cockpit set looks particularly good! Trying to build these side by side in record time. Wish me luck! Alan

One week now! I will build a quartet of Revell 1:72 AM and BM MLU birds from the original four European Partner Air Forces - the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark and Norway. They are all kingdoms, thus I named these Royal Falcons, although only the Dutch, Danes and Norwegians have Royal Air Forces. What the Belgians call their armed forces would take up a whole book, but since Charles Beaudelaire has already written a good book about Belgium, I don't need to. Just read it! I have a Hasegawa weapons set IX on the way to add some Litening and Pantera pods and JDAMs, and Vingtor and Stoppel decals for the Nordic Falcons. The BeNe-planes will use Revell kit supplied Syhart and Daco decals, though the Belgian one is still 50/50 between two options. Time to finish those MTO Spitfires before next weekend. Happy New Year, everyone! Regards, V-P EDIT #1 at Sunday evening, first day of the year 2017: As I had some problems deciding which BM should I choose instead of an AM, I decided to build just the single seaters. For that I needed to buy another kit, so there´s yet another Revell kit on its way... just for single seaters´ canopy and additional AMRAAM:s, as its the Solo Türk boxing of the F-16C. I will NOT build a B or D within this GB! I´m lucky if these four AM:s will be finished! But I can use some of the black plastic parts in the nose of the Dutch Demo bird, where they´d be painted black anyway. EDIT #2 at Monday noon, things are starting to slip out of my hands... Now there´s a DACO fuselage strengthening plate set for 3 kits on the way (I may not dare to try them under the Dutch Demo bird decals, although lack of them would be less visible under the Belgian Tiger Meet ´09 planes´ striping decisions, decisions...)
