  1. stunning work throughout... that camo scheme looks really interesting - not used to seeing small green/brown patches... wonder what it would look like on a what-if Dicker Max
  2. bby boss instructions look a little difficult... hahahaha and great build
  3. stunning work (as always)... I am struggling with german grey but have a couple more candidates in the stash... would you give a bit more detail on the streaking (I know the usual techniques but not quite mastering them)....
  4. very nice... am thinking i would like to build this too to go with the Austin A/C i am working on....
  5. Touch of weathering (panel lines) body parts added to chassis... Next up in the New Year will be more weathering
  6. Add on armour added..happy with how it looks..... Need to think about weathering but that will have to wait until the New Year
  7. Markings on.... Thinking the front star was done before the add on armour was added (don't know how much will still be visible in the end....)
  8. Printed some markings to see how it looks this is what I am thinking (with a white star and division marking on the rear plate)
  9. Progress... Engine underway. Top is placed to allow it to be painted apart from the chassis and sump(?) Which are black. Body floor is just placed to test fit
  10. Olive drab.... And then what if black camo (thank you NightShift).....
  11. Now with added white. Need to paint seat then it can be all glued down ahead of weathering
  12. thanks for that - and the tip on the colour. The instructions call for MIG 0074 "Green Moss". I would probably go for a pre-mixed colour so the AK Gen 3 set could well be possible (and comes with colours that would be useable in other circumstances. And yes, I guess it is a scheme they have found and interpreted either some level of written instruction OR a B&W photo and they have gone "black", "brown", "pale blue", "yellow"
  13. thanks all for the encouragement.... pull up a pew, will be back with some more building later in the week
  14. then I would have to learn how to make decals.... my only thought now (and don't need to answer it yet) is the order of painting of the colours, and if I coat the whole body with a coluor, mask, coat whole body, mask etc etc.... or paint roughly where the mask will go..... and then the order of colours. think of ending up with the black and then the main colour so thinking it will be light -> dark then green
  15. cheers Ed, do you have the link for your build?? thanks both, thats the one thing with the scheme I like is the masking but I think with tamiya tape and a sharp blade I should be able to do it.....
  16. Right, first WWI build, going to try this one as had my eye on it for a while. Didn't even make it off the table in to the stash..... Going to try the multi colour pattern..... We shall see anyway.....
  17. Well dusted this off, slowly getting close to end (don't think I will weather it)....
  18. and now with added winter whitewash (hairspray technique). Need to use washable white to boost some of the contrast
  19. Build nearly done. 2 rear stowage PE pieces and the .50 cal.... Might get the primer on this weekend
  20. Closer photos of the turret add.on armour.....
  21. thanks... the fron armour on the prototype was made form boilerplate - is that the same thing as armour plate? wondering if that would;ve been more rusty....
