I found old thread from Finish modelling forum and it tells to mix interior color from Humbrol 38 and 48. Unfortunately thread doesn't give any more detailed instructions about mix.

Friend from Finland told me that interior color is F.S. 35275. He was looking for Mig 21 BIS in Air force museum , I hope this will help.

Thanks for all about good responses. I have now Airfix 737 on the desk and hopefully I have time to pick up Revel kit tomorrow. I think there will be some questions about details during the build.

Hi,
I don't know about Tiger Moth, but quite often other side of fabric was red. I think this color came from water protection.

I don't have answer, but what you can do is leave a message to Finish model discussion board http://www.pienoismallit.net/keskustelut/5/ There is some people who have good contacts to Russian side. If registering is too difficult, let me know and I will send question there.

For some reason FAF roundels look odd to me, largest white part maybe too big? Without actual decal sheet I can't be sure.

Hi Gentlemen,
My question is simple if I want to make a Lufthansa 737-100, which kit is better starting point Revell or Airfix? If I'm correct Airfix is mostly series 200. Revell is modern 800-series.
My understanding is that Airfix will require correct fuselage length to be right for 100. Is there any ideas about engines? What are changes if modification is done to Revell kit? Fuselage lenght and engines what else?

If someone is looking bit different Fokker project there was FR-76 in finish service with 20mm guns and there was 3 2/3 kills with 20mm guns. Gun pods look quite easy to make and they don't require any major surgery.

Hi,
Do you know if there is decals for SAS version available?

I think one thing to mention about Finish air-force H-75's. Most of those were Twin-Wasps and in October 1941 order was given to modify Cyclone versions to Twin-Wasp configuration. So if just look original sub -variant that may cause misunderstanding or pictures may cause confusion for that reason.

There were also Norwegian H.75A-6s (never used in anger due to the sabotage work of the local customs officer) and very few were used by the RAF second-line units.
I think CU-560 was a A-6 variant and was used in anger in Finish service.

I think I was using my wording wrongly. Only gun platform is from Ju88C-1, aerodynamical components like cover for guns is different and has nothing to do with Junkers items. Article that I was refering to is clearly stating this. I hope I was able to clarify my writing.

Hello fellow modellers,
I was reading finish magazine called Ilmailuhistoriallinen lehti 4/2006 and there was article about Dornier 17Z written by Pentti Manninen. He used factory manuals as a reference. Z-6 is not a night fighter variant, based on Pentti's article it's a weather recognize aircraft. Z-7 is first night fighter and armament was taken from Ju-88C1 and shape of nose isn't from Junkers. Second night fighter variant was Z-10 where was a Dornier built weapon installation.

Hi,
I don't know about best, but there is at least old Heller, Revell and newer Azur. I have also rough feeling that there was also Monogram P-36. I think that Azur model is way to go, because it's newer than others. If my memory is correct Heller shape is good, but model itself is quite basic. I think others will comment more.

Hi,
I'm building Heller's Saab J21, but I have some questions about colors of wheel wells. Instructions will give Humbrol 65, but when I look pictures I think real color is some kind of gray. Does anybody have a exact answer?

There are some extras available, there is CMK bomb racks and L'Arsenal A-4 conversion. There is also photo etched set available fro Revell and I think there was also Big Ed photo etch set as well. I think others will add what else is available.

Maybe the reason why there is no exact mix instructions is that there was lot of variation even in new planes, maybe this color was not so well standardized.
