  1. Just found this: http://www.airfix.com/airfix-products/airc...a50065/gallery/ sure it can't be the original JEJ mould as the model here has the pointed rudder, so unless Airfix have modified their mould I suspect this would be the Italeri mould? The mk V looks like it may be the Airfix mould but with added 6 stub exhauts and 4 blade prop to reflect the condition of AB910 at present, could be wrong though.
  2. Airfix have released their BBMF Fighter set today. I thought they would have waited so they could include this new mould as the base for MK356? Does this mean another outing for the original JE-J mould or have Airfix reboxed Italeri's effort?
  3. Hi, Not sure if this has already been posted (had a quick glance but could not see anything) - seems these new releases are not far away now, having appeared on the Airfix site for the first time today: Sea Harrier FRS1 Sea Harrier FA2 MiG 15 Not modern, but also appearing is the BBMF Fighter set BBMF and a re-release (I pressume) Yak 9D Apparently, the new Sea King release is due at the end of the month too. Cheers,
  4. I believe the last Airfix newsletter mentioned July as being the release. Indeed wonderland models has the release date as two days time, the 15th! whether this can be trusted or not though...
  5. Hi, Does anybody here know whether this release is still going ahead (Battle of Britain Fighter Collection 1:72 (A50065)? I notice that updates to the product page have been pretty much non-existant and with an original release date of October last year I am wondering if this has been dropped? I am hoping not as it would be the only source of decals for the entire fighter flight in 1/72 - as someone who sees the BBMF flyover my house nearly every weekend throughout the summer, I was hoping I could model them! I am thinking that perhaps this has just been held back until the new IX and XIX are released - would it be worth an email to Airfix perhaps? Just wondered if there is anyone in the know, Cheers,
  6. Hi, According to Wonderland Models and a couple of other online model shops, the new Airfix Spitfire XIX and a re-release of the Whirlwind are available from today. Surely the new Spitfire IX can't be far away? Wonderland however have been listing this as having been released for a couple of weeks which leads me to ask does anyone know for definate that the Spitfire XIX is out from today, as I don't want to place any orders for something not yet available! Cheers, Adam. P.S. Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere - I did a quick search but did not find anything...
  7. Hi, Yes, that was my thinking, as with the Airfix box I am also paying for paints etc which I already have. I didn't realise that the gunship was the same kit with a new sprue, so thanks for that information - it is greatly appreciated and I think i'll look into that! Thanks Clive! Adam
  8. Hi thanks for the quick reply peebeep! I have just been looking on Hannants and notice that they do a decal sheet for ZA974, which may be a better option for me in terms of price if I can find Italeri's boxing, as recent Airfix decals I have seen have been slightly 'off' with a kind of film over them that glosses the decal finish. It appears however that the Italeri boxing, except for the gunship, have been withdrawn, can anyone confrim this? Adam
  9. Hi Basically, I'm interested in the new Dakota from Airfix, if anything for the subject decals. However does anyone know if this is this the old Airfix tool doing the rounds again or a rebox of the Italeri kit as per the 2001 release? http://www.airfix.com/airfix-products/airc...&sortorder= Cheers, Adam
