  1. I recently had a problem removing Maskol from a canopy that I had left for far too long. In desperation I tried a number of solvents and found that the only one that worked was methylated spirit, a very useful all round cleaner.
  2. Many thanks for all your kind comments. I should have added more,, like it's the Airfix 1/48 kit with Alistair's Alley Cat conversion (was also available in 1/72 scale ) I don't have any more photos of the model, it's large and in the attic in a huge box!! I do have quite a few more photos of the aircraft at that time so i will post those on the Walkaround page. I seem to have opened a box of chocolates, as Forest G ump said (as opposed to a can of worms) so thank you all for your appreciation. Incidentally, if anyone out there knows where/how I could get the stencil details printed up, please let me have the details
  3. this is the amount of stencil detail which would complete the model
  4. The Shorts SC 9 and Alley Cat conversion built sometime ago now, but very happy with the result, apart from the lack of stencil detail
  5. Is there anyone, who can reliably confirm the year that the silver undersides were superseded by Light Aircraft Grey.? I know that Data File 16 states, on page 46, 1966, but I all the references would seem to indicate it was much earlier.
  6. Absolutely fabulous, Russ. looked for the WIP, but no find. Need to know, what paints you used ? keep up the great work
