The nick isn't really a nickname, but a hard-earned, hard-proven title. well, more of a warning. Emil, his "real" name, doesn't come from a 109, but from Kästners famous kid's novel. I loved it when I was a kid and, well, still do. We gave it to him when we believed in his good character, long ago...
Hopes are high, dry-fitting looks good.
Touchy about his tiny pieces? I have no idea what you could possible be talking about... 🔍
Emil and the detectives. Loved it too and love that Sopwith. Great results! Thanks for posting this.

My eye was caught by the super-crisp transparencies! Nice one.

Wow! Great model, but the photography is brilliant. Those are scenes you could just step into. Thank you for posting.
Edit: got it: the diorama base is brilliant!

That is just... weird. And in some strange way, works!

p.s. I immediately starting thinking about a single-seater, with "modernized" canopy, etc...
Plus turbo props

Tidy result and very unusual subject. Thanks for posting!

From your introductory text, I was expecting a disaster, but this looks pretty tidy. Maybe you photographed it in a bad light 😕
What's going on with the metallic sheet on the undercarriage doors?

Aha! Now the submarine beau makes sense. Good results!

Nice even-grained lumber there! Sort of thing you'd make a wind tunnel or test tank model from. The central fuselage strategy makes sense: watching with interest.

Always intrigued by this one, as it's one of the earlier ones I built as a kid (Frog version). I'm mesmerised by the upper wing roundels - did you paint them on? Overall, the finish is spot-on, looks like photos of the real thing.

Neat bit of repurposing! How did you get the tail rotor to work? Enquiring minds want to know!

Brewster B-339E Buffalo Mk.I - Airfix
in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Posted
The Airfix Buffalo was one of my early kits, so I was immediately interested: as I scrolled through it put a smile on my face as you went through the small but necessary mods and started thinking this is fun; then I arrived at the end where you come to exactly the same conclusion. Bingo! Colours and finish look just right to me and I like the way the decals are integrated with the overall finish.
