  1. You sir, Mad Olivier, are totally insane...! I mean that in all fun of course. The extent of your detailing to these GP bikes is nothing short of AWESOME...!! I build GP bikes as they are one of my fave kits, being an ex-roadracer myself. I raced for 10 seasons on all the major motorcycle brands except Honda. I was sponsored by a local bike shop here in Winnipeg and raced at Gimli Motorsport Park near Lake Winnipeg. I also raced at BIR in Minnesota. I wasn't too shabby, as I managed to get many second and third place finishes riding my Kawski Ninja's, GPZ's, and Yamaha Seca's. I had my Suzuki 500 Gamma painted up in the red and white livery as seen on the 80's McLaren MP4's...just LOVED that scheme.

I have ordered the MArcoMoto bike jig to help out my "old" hands and even older eyes to do more builds...LOL...!

Really enjoyed looking at yer pics and detailed info.

    Cheers,

  2. Hey mate, I got this kit last year for birthday and finally got around to starting the build. How on earth did you get the PE front mats to mold to the floor...??!!! Cheers
  3. Hey thanks Giorgio, much appreciated for the help and link.
  4. I may be repeating myself as this forum looks a lot like the one over at ARC...? Anyhoo, I'm looking for any info regarding decals and camo schemes, etc., for doing this older Italeri kit. Its molded in trainer orange which is a rather boring scheme for me. Any help appreciated, and you can email me at: [email protected] Cheers, Laurie

  6. hey Sean, well past 20 quid sounds normal for this neck o the woods...!! If the pound is close to 2 1/2 times the Canuck buck, that puts it around $40-$50 bucks. There aren't too many DML/Dragon?Tamiya kits that are NOT under this price...! It seems the maroe accurate the kit, the more "stuff" they include in the box...the higher the price. Stands to reason I guess. What with Slide molding, PE, Resin, its no wonder they command a hefty $...! Still, I always look at life in the modeling lane the same as life in the woodworking shop. I like good, dependable tools. You just CANNOT get that from Walmart or Tesco's...?... Same goes for kits I guess. Thanks for the help guys, Cheers, Laurie in Winnipeg Manitoba Model Builders
  7. Hey guys, I'm wanting to get myself a good kit of the Stug. I was watching a nifty show on the Discovery Military channel about the Battle of Kursk featuring Russian T-34's, Tigers, and Stugs in fairly good animation. What would you suggest as a decent kit of a Stug with enough detail and fit without too much after market stuff...? Cheers, Laurie
