  1. Absoloutely fantastic build, the time and care taken is evident for all to see. I can only hope some of my builds look half as good.. Rich
  2. very nice, very nice indeed if i may ask where did you purchase the kit as i am having difficulty finding one in stock anywhere? rich
  3. mine too tried to look at pictures and browser just shut the link down Rich
  4. probably a very stupid question but..... why are there several different options for some of the colours? for example BS381c:638 Dark Sea Grey gives you 992, 905 and 836 in the vallejo range all of which are different shades i could just be missing something so i thought i'd ask the question here cheers Rich
  5. some seriously good information for the newcomer to harrier modeling here, many, many thanks for all the replies guys. looks like i will have to join the harrier sig sooner rather than later eh how long till Cosford? Rich
  6. medium sea grey it is then as i stated earlier my reference for the camouflage grey came from the jan issue of model airplane international, however having learned from past experience not to believe everything you read i felt the need to ask the question in the first place. i appreciate all the responses though guys and will no doubt have many more to come Rich
  7. many thanks for the replies guys as this is for a specific aircraft (2009 display colours) i think i will go for the medium sea grey as noted on the paperwork supplied with the decals. i am just now beginning to realise what a can of worms this whole harrrier colour scheme is. am i right then to assume that aircraft that are badged up as naval strike wing squadrons are currently painted medium sea grey which will be replaced by camouflage grey as aircraft are repainted (could be just my eyes but there doesn't appear to be a great deal of difference between these colours?) does this also mean that aircraft badged up as 1,4 and 20 squadrons are already painted camouflage grey if not in the dark sea grey over dark camouflage grey scheme? as there is quite a distinct difference between these schemes. or is it as i suspect different from aircraft to aircraft? sorry to keep asking questions that have probably all been asked before i just want to get things as right as i can Rich
  8. hello all quick couple of questions for the more knowledgeable than i on here i have the model alliance RN anniversary scheme decals for a GR9 i am planning as my next project. the sheet that came with the decals lists the colour as overall BS381c: 637 medium sea grey, however an article in january 2010's model airplane international lists the colour as overall BS381c: 626 camouflage grey. which one is correct? i am also having trouble converting modern british colours to the vallejo range of paints, anyone got a chart that converts BS colours to vallejo numbers? thanks in advance Rich
