  1. Pete, Unfortunately it's the same picture I already have, but thanks anyway :-) (-: Roy
  2. Hi I am looking for pictures of Robert E. Goodnight's P-51B Mustang named "Mary Anne". Do you know where I can find pictures and information of colours, markings etc. of this plane? Any decals avaiable? (any scale will do) I've found one picture at page 203 in the book "P-51 Mustang - Development of the Long-Range Escort Fighter", by Paul A. Ludwig (Classic Publications) showing the nose of the aircraft, but I'd like to find pictures showing the markings for the rest of the plane. Can anyone help? (-: Roy
  3. Hi Darren I ordered and paid for mine October 30th 2013 and got a reply saying it was posted on December 10th 2013, but so far received nothing. (-: Roy
  4. Hi Tiger 331 (and others) This is probably what your 'sonar' has picked up. You can read about the noise here. (-: Roy
  5. Thank you for the links, Terry. Much appreciated. (-: Roy
  6. This is interesting. Did the FR.XIV thus have the underside camera openings omitted / blanked off? In a lot of pictures of mk XVIII's the upper camera posistion seem to be empty as you can see right throught the fuselage behind the cockpit. Is it safe to assume that such planes used two F24's or perhaps no cameras at all? Thank you all for great help so far. (-: Roy
  7. Thank you all for great info. Do you know if the mudflaps were in the same colour as the underside? (-: Roy
  8. Thank you, Mike and Edgar I know this might be a silly question, but were these mudflaps placed outside or inside of the compartment? Will you thus only see the glass covering for the camera openings under the plane? (-: Roy
  9. Thanks for the info, Mike I would also like to know if the XVIII flew with only vertical cameras as well, and in that case which type. I've found information that it used F52 cameras, but did it use one or two? Dimensions of the cameras would be nice if anybody should have such. Thank you in advance. (-: Roy
  10. Hi Can somebody tell me which camera configurations will be appropriate for the Spitfire Mk XVIII? Can you use only vertical cameras? In that case which types? F24 or F52? One or two? (-: Roy PS! Any idea where can I find the physical dimensions of the different cameratypes (height, width etc). Need it for scratchbuiling.
  11. Really looking forward to this one (-: Roy
  12. FGR Phantoms...absolutely!!! And then an F3 :-) (-: Roy
  13. Thank you for your replies. Regarding Heritage Aviation I could't find anything regarding Griffon Spits. I'm using the Warbird Production conversions, now produced and marketed by Grey Matter Figures. Really nice sets. I've checked all their Griffon conversion and all come with rounded exhausts. If somebody has more information regarding this subject, please inform me. (-: Roy
  14. I hope some Spitfire experts can help me out here. I'm building a Spitfire Mk XIX (type 389, unpresurized) and I'm also planning building a Mk.XIV - standard cockpit. All in 1/32 scale. On all the pictures I have of the Mk.XIX (type 389) they use the fish tail type exhaust, not the rounded. Same goes for a lot of pictures I have of Mk.XIVs. The conversion kits I am using comes only with the rounded exhausts. Can I use the newly issued fishtail exhausts for the Tamiya Mk.IX from Quickboost? Is the type correct in size (width/lenght)? I can see that the spacing between the individual pipes are different on the Griffon engine, making the total exhaust stack longer on the Griffon compared to the Merlin. (-: Roy
  15. Thank you all for great info. Andrew: It would have be interesting to see the photos from Aeroplane Monthly. Any chance that you can scan and post/e-mail the pictures? I've checked my copy of Alfred Price's book, but I have the Second revised edition. In this edition the page 213 contains Appendix A and no picture of the 28 Sqn Spit. On page 212 I find two pictures of FR 18's, but they're both from other squadrons. Here are the pictures from Wings of Fame, Volume 16, which I've mentioned in my first post: I'm posting these scans under the standard "Fair Use"conditions, which I trust everyone here will respect. (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use) (-: Roy
