Acrylic over Tamiya Spray - Any issues ?

Hi Folks,

 

Looking for some advice from the paint experts. I'm doing a MiG-21 with a standard natural metal scheme that had a Dark Green colour applied over it for camouflage purposes. On the original, the overcoat chipped quite badly so I have given the model a couple of quick coats of Tamiya natural metal spray. My plan was to apply some chipping solution on those areas that need it and then apply an acrylic green colour over the top but I'm a bit concerned about whether it will stick ?.
