Battle of Britain II wings of victory

I wonder why nobody brought this up as it is still being maintained... 

My experiences of dogfights were from Microsoft's CFS series, and it taught me rather a lot about flying that the old F/A-18 Interceptor game hadn't... Their realism (or their lack thereof) should be widely known, so I struggled to adapt to the faster kind of aerial fighting that BoB WoV supplies (if upgraded - in the basic version even an ordinary landing is almost impossible to do)... and I still do. Lots of times I won't even get to take a shot at anyone before getting hosed from behind - and I guess that is quite like the real thing was. Lots of planes in the sky, LOTS of escort fighters, so even if you do look inside your rearview mirror every 15 secs, you still may have to jump out A LOT. 

While that may sometimes be frustrating, it reminds me of one of the truths of that battle - sometimes, you just had to rely on sheer luck to get back home. And while the controls are not as complicated as I experienced during my tryout of one of the Il-2 versions, it is still challenging to touch down without crashing. 

Anyone else using this game? Any comments or thi gs I may have overlooked?
