My next attempt...Mistercraft's Hawker Hunter Mk.6, Belgium, circa 1960. The kit seems to be pretty basic and when I also looked at the Plastyk Kit from Poland...the same moulds. The decals look alright and since I can add the middle bit, I can make sure they are in register. I will be saving the Dutch decals for the Plastyk Kit and the NATO/Warsaw GB since that particular Hunter was used well into the 1960s...or so the sheet says...1964.
In any case...here are the first looks. Looks alright. No flash, minimal details on the exterior. The Aftermarket goodies are the cockpit set from Czech Master for the Revell kit (I hope it all fits!) and the weighted wheels from Armory. Paints will be Vallejo Air Dark Green, Dark Sea Grey, USAAF Light Grey, Duck Egg Green accompanied by the usual aluminum, black, smoke, etc...I'll prime it before I leave for the evening and begin later tonight. It's like a factory here sometimes...
Has anyone built this yet? Any pitfalls to avoid? I am already taking stock on my putty and Evergreen supply...
Here 'tis...
