I am currently making the Airfix Victor K2 and have a couple of questions to ask. Firstly I am about to add the underwing fuel tanks and will be having the flaps extended. In the kit instructions it says to cut a small amount of plastic from parts J 29 & 30, but does say how much. Does anyone have any recommendations as to how much plastic should be removed? Secondly the bomb aimers window in the nose. The aircraft that I will be making has these all covered over. From what I can find out about these I think that some aluminium sheeting was used to cover them, but were they placed over the top of the glazed part or made as insert for the framing? Any help will be gratefully received.

Did the RAF Jetstream T1s carry underwing Ser Nos? The reason I ask is that I am attempting to build the Magna Models kit of this aircraft and on the painting instructions it says that the RAF version did not have underwing Ser Nos whilst the RN aircraft did. Also what size roundels are used on the wings?

I am making the Welsh Models kit of the Tristar KC1, and I am wanting the make ZD951 "Pinky" which was one of the two aircraft that had the fuselages painted in Desert Sand. I have got together most of the info that I require, but some of it is a bit conflicting and some I cannot find anything on, so I am asking for a little help. Question 1. What is the colour of the intake of the No2 engine, that is the one at the tail? Question 2. The wing engines cowlings were parts of them painted also Desert Sand, Light Aircraft Grey or just in natural metal, as I have conflicting info here? Question 3. The re-fuelling probe. Is it directly on the centreline of the aircraft or just off to one of the sides of the centreline? Question 4. The Light Aircraft Grey/ Natural Metal on the wings. What is the boundary of this as again I have conflicting info? Any help with any of these questions will be very much appreciated.

I am part way through the building of an Airfix Vulcan K2, but there are a few things that I would like to know that I can't find the answers to. Firstly what were the colours schemes of the individual aircraft? I am hoping to do mine in Green and Grey on top with Lt Grey and white beneath. Secondly the ECM plate between the engine. I think that I am correct is saying that all aircraft were fitted with the right hand one, but were some aircraft fitted with the one between the other set of engines? I may have some others later, but these ones are buugging me at the moment. Any help will the be gratefully recieved.
