    Good day All, herewith my latest off the bench. 'Orders'. Italy, March 1944. A BK (Battery Captain) of 12 Regt (HAC) RA [Honourable Artillery Company, Royal Artillery] gives preliminary Orders to one of his Troop Commanders prior to moving up to firing positions at Monte Cassino. This is the Revell (ex Matchbox) 1/76 scale M7 Priest with Milicast figures. Some of the Matchbox bases are great, but I didn't like the one with this kit. It was a bit nondescript and the model didn't fit very well, so I made a simple base of my own. This new base is just a piece of foamboard with household filler to provide the groundworks and various commercially available model railway and dolls' house diorama accessories for the plants, foliage and grass. Photos are taken with my phone (Google Pixel 7) so the focal depth is quite limited, but they should give you some idea of the model.
