I'm just about to start one at the opposite end of the scale for our next club comp - the 0-4-0 Pug....!!!
K
Big mistake dude !
Just 'cos I don't post as often as I'd like, doesn't mean I don't keep an eye on things.
Just wait till the gang finds out you're building a "choo-choo" for the mini-base comp !!!

Hi again Chris,
Found a better photo to prove you hadn't imagined it : RAM 757
'fraid I have been a bit of a stranger due to a change in jobs and an increased workload.
Of course, joining Keefr's gang at IPMS West Glamorgan hasn't particularly helped, as I've found out that there's actually an art to throwing plastic together and slapping paint on.
As a result, I'm having to push the boat out a little further with every build, just in an effort to keep up with some exacting standards. (Thank heavens I can always count on Keefr to regularly leave his boat in the harbour ! )

Hi Chris,
Have a look on Airliners.net and try and sort the photos according to date taken.
here's a link to one of them :

Very, very nice.
I'm a bit partial to F-15s and have one of these in the loft - must dig it out sometime.

Looks pretty damned good to me (and I'm only 4 inches away from the screen !)
Nice one.

Belated "count me in" with something from Africa.....

Lovely stuff

Many Thanks for the kind comments - Very generous.
I'm almost beginning to think about building another tank (but still trying to finish my other entry for the club competition.....I've started it, so I'll finish it.)

WOW !
That's very impressive. Nice one Mark

....One little thing, though: it's not an Ausf G, which had the long 75mm gun. I'm a bit rusty on my Panzer IV variants but I think the applique armour makes this an Ausf E. E and G are very easily confused in Gothic script...
You're right Mr Hawk. It is an E !
I've made the necessary changes to the title.
(Forget the Gothic - I have enough trouble differentiating letters in Arial font !)
Many Thanks

Hi,
Been away from Britmodeller for some time trying to finish this for our last Club Competition. Thrilled to bits that it won, but competition was stiff and I'm pretty sure I only won by a nose - a donkey's nose that is !
Â
Only the second armour kit I've ever built, and only the first one I've ever finished. Loads of fun, but way to many pieces for someone as impatient as me.
Â
Â
Need to go back to building things with wings.
Â
Comments welcome.

Anybody else took this route before??
No.....but I'm liking the thought process !
I'll be watching this closely.
-
Heavens above !
It's this kind of insanity that could bring me out of modelling exile. (Wonder if I can get the money back for all of the therapy sessions ?)
-
New job has taken over every waking moment, so better late than never.
Thrilled to bits with coming in third, in light of very stiff competition and getting used to being beaten by Keefr
Even more chuffed to have finished a project that I've been wanting to do for more years than I care to remember
Congratulations to all of you who've had a crack at the Group Build (they're fun......aren't they ? ) and a special thanks to our hosts.

Nice one Dave !
Just been having a look at the build thread and realised that a hell of a lot more work went into getting the kit finished in comparison to your verbal description at the club-meeting.
I think that our end of the table needs to start making more noise than the other end

Hell Doug,
Been so busy trying to get my entry finished that I didn't get around to adding my compliments for a cracking build.
I reckon the base is worth a vote on its own !

Well shoot me down in flames !
Cracking job on all three of them Mark - very impressive and a level for me to aspire to. I'm with Milo on this one.
(Bet you enjoyed the pressure today !)
cheers

Nice three there Milo. The A380 looks like a serious chunk of plastic.
I must say that I'm enjoying watching all the GB entries rolling in today. It's like plane-spotting at Heathrow

...the bar is set at quite an unattainable height!.....
Get outta here Mark ! Just glad I managed to get it finished and stored in the loft hangar before the arrival of the Airbus family from Madrid.
Have to admit to almost crash-landing after seeing some of the builds in here. Some amazing stuff and finishes - absolutely mouth-watering.
Good luck with the finishing-off and thanks for the comments and support.

Cheers Keef.
Got to admit that I was ready to throw the towel in at the last moment. Work load has just buried me over the last couple of weeks and looks set to carry on for the next three months !
Can't see myself having any time to build models I'm afraid

Well mate, I gotta say you've come up trumps again ! (Guess I would have expected nothing less !)
Very nice job.

Welsh Models kit in 1/144
Landed just after my club-mate's Connie from Dublin....

Apologies for the work-inflicted hibernation and the lack of comments on everyone else's stunning builds.
Managed to finish off my build just in time for the deadline.
First view : Finished model with one of the photos that inspired the build (Couldn't quite capture the same lighting conditions as Victoria Falls , but you get the general idea.)
Photo of the finished kit on its own (others to be found in the gallery)
and last but not least : meet the fleet (so Far) - some of you may remember the Viscount as being my first ever post on BM

Thanks to everyone for the motivation
