  1. Oh, I don't know - probably - it was actually because I was watching something on Haiti and saw they have those vehicles and thought it might make an interesting piece.
  2. Hi, Does anything know of a model of this, or something similar? TERRIER LT-79 | The Armored Group, LLC | TAG Vehicle (armoredcars.com) - Link Cheers

    Crackle meduims

Hi, Just wondering what you all use as a crackle medium or do you just stick with chipping? I had looked at a few, ArtDeco, Vallejo, Liquitex, Ranger and so on, but Vallejo aside they seem to be for craft, if that makes any sort of a difference. Cheers,
  4. Thanks Pete, I'd not bumped into KingKit, looks like they could save me a furtune
  5. That's very kind, I think I'm on the right track having found ScaleMates now, it was probably the most common questions, where to find colour schemes (when the manufacturer doesn't give suggestions) and where do people go online to get models, SM seems to help with both
  6. Thanks again, @Corsairfoxfouruncle, I had thought of there but it specifically said non modelling so was left a little nonplussed
  7. Sorry Mark, I wasn't quite sure how to word it and wasn't looking for type specific themes. I appreciate the advice though and I'll see if I can come up with a better subject
  8. I might have found something - it seems ScaleMates has a markings area, which might be what I was looking for, along with where has the best prices (something else I was trying to figure out)
  9. Hi, Apologies if it's in here somewhere, but I'm not great at finding things here yet. Essentially what I'm looking to find is something that suggests the base colour to start from for "x" colour scheme - I know some kits do colour suggestions which is great, but oddly not the Tamiya one I'm working on. So, for example, a German desert scheme from WWII, which would then say - start with Vallejo "x" then highlight with "y" I'm not after specific advice btw, or I'd have posted in the armour area, but rather a resource that I could look to for any future projects. Anyway, thanks for reading and fingers crossed.
  10. Thanks all and nice to meat you, now all have to do is figure out where to ask really general questions about things like wheres good to buy
  11. Hi, Pretty new to kit models and its an interesting new look, almost like growing up. I've done fantasy stuff for years, though in truth more collecting than actually painting though. I've found the two models I've done so far quite refreshing and forgiving only having done a couple of figures, and then at 1/72, but moving on to the larger ones so more detailed weathering opportunities. Anyway, happy to finally get onto the most difficult to join forum I've ever joined
