    Me again! :D

My son loves The Bad Batch, so I picked up some 3D printed figures off eVilBay, and got a surprising three poses of each of the crew, totalling 15 figures, for very little in the way of money.  They were also well-cured, and other than a few areas where some excess resin had cured in the corners, they are pretty decent quality.  I prepared them by doing a little micro-chiselling and sanding before gluing them to some 3D printed bases.

I've also got these two that I think were freebies, as I didn't order them and they were just in the box with the others.  The one on the right is a Rebel trooper, but I'm not sure what the trooper on the left is.  Any ideas?

He's an airborne trooper, probably the ones from the 212th battalion that Kenobi led in Episode 3.

  2. And we're done!

As I said previously, the oil wash reacted badly and stripped some paint off so I had to create some battle damage. I lost a couple of bits, mainly the pitots. But otherwise, happy. A decent kit, not brilliant, had to do minor futzing, but it's okay. I'm not happy with the spots on the canopy, I think I rushed that too much, but otherwise happy, especially as it's my first completed build in a while. I think the stand came from a Star Trek kit, had it laying around.

I used Tamiya and Vallejo paints, brush and airbrush, Pledge for gloss coat, Winsor and Newton Galeria for matt coat, Winsor and Newton oils, Tamiya weathering powders, and Zap Formula 560 canopy glue.

Hope you like! Thanks for following and all the lovely comments.

  3. Did the tub and the nose, am going for something fun and appropriating the cartoon style while not being super realistic. So I'm going to paint the seats and cockpit a subtle shade of orange-yellow and then do the canopy in the same colour but clear. The overall jet colour will be light ghost grey.

This is much more about having fun and building for me. I haven't built something in a while so I just want to be cool about it.

  4. Fingers crossed not too long. Made a stupid mistake and forgot to put a gloss coat on the little bits of the front grille that need decals, but I think I’ve got away with it.

Looking good so far MD. Try not to rush to meet the deadline and sacrifice the quality going forward. You've got some good time and work invested here.

    Thank you! Trying my hardest.
