And we're done!
As I said previously, the oil wash reacted badly and stripped some paint off so I had to create some battle damage. I lost a couple of bits, mainly the pitots. But otherwise, happy. A decent kit, not brilliant, had to do minor futzing, but it's okay. I'm not happy with the spots on the canopy, I think I rushed that too much, but otherwise happy, especially as it's my first completed build in a while. I think the stand came from a Star Trek kit, had it laying around.
I used Tamiya and Vallejo paints, brush and airbrush, Pledge for gloss coat, Winsor and Newton Galeria for matt coat, Winsor and Newton oils, Tamiya weathering powders, and Zap Formula 560 canopy glue.
Hope you like! Thanks for following and all the lovely comments.

Weapons loadout has all gone on, ready for final matt coat. Had a bit of a run-in with using oils for weathering, which took some of the paint off the top of the fuselage, so had to make it into some authentic battle damage using Tamiya weathering powders. Very near the end.

Thats looking good with the paint on it. Looking forward to the full effect. Will this have a Decepticon logo on it ?
Thanks! And yes, absolutely.

Have painted the intakes and wing stripes. A little bit of bleed here and there but nothing hugely worrying. Also hit the canopy with Tamiya orange clear.

Looks good. How has the Revell kit come together?
Pretty good, actually. Have had no real issues with it.

Finally getting the basecoat down - Vallejo light ghost grey.

Painted the engines and nozzles, also added some of the loadout bits, will shortly start painting the body.

Did the nozzles, not super happy with them if I'm honest as it was tricky to try and get them to get them all lined up in a perfect circle, but oh well.

Not a huge update, have added the nose and the nozzle parts have been primed for painting. Have also started doing up all the loadout bits.

Put the fuselage together, nose should be on shortly.

Did the engines in chrome with the Molotov pen, so it would have a nice sharp contrast with the deep red of the intakes, which were sprayed with acrylic rosso red from the Motip brand.

Did the tub and the nose, am going for something fun and appropriating the cartoon style while not being super realistic. So I'm going to paint the seats and cockpit a subtle shade of orange-yellow and then do the canopy in the same colour but clear. The overall jet colour will be light ghost grey.
This is much more about having fun and building for me. I haven't built something in a while so I just want to be cool about it.

"Conquest is made of the ashes of one's enemies."
Thought his majesty should get started. Revell F-15E based on the generation one colours. Just like old times.
Obligatory sprue shot:

Hmm, didn't think about that. Have to think about how difficult it would be.

Fantastic, will do! Yep, it's just a standard F-15. Will probably use the new Revell 1/72 kit.

I noticed WHIF in the rules. I'd love to get on this, but I was thinking of building a version of a certain 1980s transformable jet...

Hi Sophie - Great models!

brilliant!

Fingers crossed not too long. Made a stupid mistake and forgot to put a gloss coat on the little bits of the front grille that need decals, but I think I’ve got away with it.

Thank you! Trying my hardest.

He's an airborne trooper, probably the ones from the 212th battalion that Kenobi led in Episode 3.
