  1. Hi Tom, Oh that one, just to try another color since it's a 'what-if' themed so should be free to do some minor changes which is harmless. Cheers!
  2. Hey Niki, Opps my mistake, forget to quote that, they're there for both plane. Here the final arrangement. Plane 1:Sorbitsya ECM pod, Python-4 x2, R-77 x2, Rafale SPICE x2, AGM-142 Popeye x2, KH-31P Krypton x2, R-27T (Middle), AN/AXQ-14 (Middle) and R-73E at the left wing tip. Plane 2:Python-4 x2, Delilah x2, R-77 x2, R-27R x2, Rafale SPICE x2, KH-31P Krypton x2, R-27T (Middle) & Sorbitsya ECM pod (Middle)
  3. Hi Guys, the TVC nozzle is resin cast, from my friend. He sent to me on June when I start working on previous Su-30MKM.
  4. Some engine & exhaust color touching up
  5. - Everything is primed and ready for further steps. Engine / Exhaust painting - Layer 1: Gunze 28 Steel on Ultimate black. - Silver applied. - Clear Blue, for sure. - Clear Orange for the win. - Finalizing, still have to touch up. - Gun pod painted & masked. Not really recommend this method, I would like to suggest you to paint the gun pod only after you've done all the paint job including camo and etc, it's much more easier and efficient! - Weapon arragement: Vympel R-73 x1, Python-4 x2, Rafael Spice x2, KH-31P Krypton x2, AGM-142 Popeye x2, AN/AXQ-14 x1 & R-27T x1 Weapon weight: approx. 6,300kg, Empty weight of the plane: 17,700kg, engine max take off weight: 34,500kg. NO PROBLEM!
  6. "As dust before wind" Another 'What-if' themed project which adapted from TWO Trumpeter's 1/72 Sukhoi Su-30MKK Flanker G, they'll be painted into IDF Air Force 3-colors camo with two different team marking - the Negev Squadron & Bat Squadron. The 253 Squadron (ותיקי טייסת 253) a.k.a. the Negev Squadron, is an F-16I fighter squadron based at Ramon Airbase. I will apply this marking on my version of Su-30MK meanwhile the other one will be apply with 119 Squadron, the Bat Squadron marking. The team marking will be hijack from Kinetic's F-16i SUFA since the generous Kinetic provided two marking option for the SUFA. I'll use the stock decals from Trumpeter for the stencils. One of the double trouble will be send to a friend and another one is for my own collection. Let's do this. Reference - Su-27 Flanker Israeli Air Force 253 Squadron 'Negev' - Dry fitting for that two bad boys. - Nothing much for cockpit section - just an OOB - Adapted into IDF F-16i cockpit color. Cockpit looks suck without PE. - Masked and painted with German Gray - Basically the canopy is really really Crystal clear, but still need to remove that long annoying molding line in the middle. - After 1 hour of ninja, laser, katana and etc but only managed to settle ONE canopy. - Canopy, polished and pampered - Hydraulics off, flaps down, taking shape. - Mix & Match, since it's a "what-if" theme, so just do it. - Horizontal stabilizer, fabricated the white parts to make it move legit but still need some refinement. - Skunkmodels Workshop item no. SW72001 - IDF Weapons Set, inbound. Which included 4x AN/AXQ-14, 4x Delilah, 4x Python-4, 4x AGM-142 Popeye, 4x Rafale Spice & 4x AAQ-28. - Tinted with 90% Clear Yellow & 10& Clear Orange. Masked and it's time for surfacer. - Almost done priming everything...only left small parts.
  7. Yea, Trumpeter's. Have bunches of them, so decide to add it into the scene.
  8. Hello, some quick updates on my Su-34 Syrian Ghost. That's all, guys. Thanks for viewing. Cheers!
  9. Hi Ryan, just forwarded your feedback to my friend, who is the designer for the decals. So here's his reply: Decals Authentic Decals printed at different times in different publishing houses, because they are different. Early decals are thin and fragile, later decals - already better. Now I type their decals in the same typography as the Authentic Decals.
  10. This is an Italeri 1/72 Su-32/34 Strike Flanker kit which released around 1995 and was a typical of modern Italeri kits. 2 sets of decals are given but I have a better option - Syrian Ghost from Authentic decal, designed by my friend A.Pawlygin of Authentic Decal. For this Ghost I think I'm going OOB as PE and etc are really time consuming, but maybe a little custom decals will be apply on it. The marking will be Red-27, Laodicea ad Mare, October 2015. (б/н 27, Сирия, Латакия, октябрЬ 2015) from Authentic Decals. I use Gunze 40 - German Gray as the fuselage color and Gunze 323 - Light blue for the undercarriage. Totally OOB, no PE parts or other 3rd party parts has been use here. Washed with Tamiya enamel XF-53 and weathered by AK Products. Almost time for diorama planning but let's check some photos out. That's all for today, guys! Cheers, Kitti Tatsumaki.
  11. Hi guys, it's featured on Japanese modeling magazine - Model ART September issue!
  12. Canopy masking for this Su-34 is quite easy. Primed everything with Mr.Finishing Surfacer 1500 Grey. Done the base painting for landing gears, will touch up and wash/weather soon.
  13. Hello, welcome aboard. This is an Italeri 1/72 Su-32/34 Strike Flanker kit which released around 1995 and was a typical of modern Italeri kits, it's a gift from my friend. Decal for 2 aircrafts are given but I have a better option - Syrian Ghost from Authentic decal, designed by my friend A.Pawlygin of Authentic Decal. For this Ghost I think I'm going OOB as PE are really time consuming, but maybe a little custom decals will be apply on it, we'll see. Splinter made a really good job on his Su-34 too, very inspiring build so I decide to make one too since I have one in my stash! Skip those unbox and parts checking fairy tales, let's step into the WIP! Shining canopy, after polished by Tamiya compound. Just flaps down stuff here. Dry fit the cockpit to check for gaps and errors. The fitting is still ok for this old mold. Ballast, i love it when it's heavy. Italeri don't have that much detail back then in 1995, so I just simple add some up. We roll in Fishbone way yo! The weaponry. Instrument panels. Cockpit, done. Just OOB. Adding weight again with A+B Epoxy bondite, now it's almost 70g. Hellduck inbound, fitted nicely. Balancing and counterweight, the benefit you get when you add enough weight on nose section. Flap down/Hydraulic off position, done left side, phew~ Boarding ladder of Su-34, Hellduck's canopy is fixed and can't open like her other siblings so the pilots have to enter the cockpit through this ladder which attached to the NLG. And this is what only my level can achieve so far. Some progressing last few days.
  14. Thanks guys! The decals are on sale now, please let me know if any of you interested in it, I'll give free shipping for Britmodeller members!
  15. Good day, guys! Some photos after I've finished the diorama work! Calling it done now. Cheers! *Decals can get at Sandakan Hobby. and also Neo Plamo - Ipoh Scale Model Hobby Shop
  16. Thank you everyone! Going to start the diorama soon! Cheers.
  17. This is a RMAF Sukhoi Su-30MKM Flanker of the 11th Squadron "Golden Cobra" based in Gong Kedak AFB, Kelantan which debuted with the 1-Malaysia themed tail fin during the LIMA 2013 in Langkawi. I'm going to replicate the M52-14 Su-30MKM which given the 1 Malaysia scheme on her tail fin during LIMA 2013. The MKM resin conversion set are from Naza Model Art while the 1 Malaysia tail fin decals are produced by Fishbone Inc. Other extra add-ons are Photo Etched parts from DM, which included the canopy details, cockpit, instrument panels, engine intake, exhaust nozzles and ladder sets. Cheers, Kitti Tatsumaki.
  18. Thanks Ken!! This MKM not yet done, I still need to deal with her weapons. Definitely will keep updating this thread!
  19. Guys, thanks for those kind words, such great encouragement and motivation! So here's some update - semi-gloss top coated and called it done for the plane itself. Going to deal with her weapons later! Oh by the way, "Meksu" in Malay language means Miss Su, Kelantan state slang.
  20. Thanks! Having really hard time when dealing with those PE but it does paid off!! Those nozzles are basically a small mistake, i should paint them in silver instead of steel, with silver color, the burnt iron effect will be more eye-catching!
  21. It's from a friend, sell by a package which included the MKM conversion kit & MKM decals. The conversion kit included shoulder, canards, tail fins, TVC exhaust and MAWS + LWS.
  22. I bought on HLJ but they're out of stock now, I got some extra if you really need it I can sell them to you! Hi Ken, thanks! Yes MKM do have thrust vector exhaust, my resin nozzle break because of too fragile and in the meanwhile I have those PE in my stash so I just use them to replace the resin nozzle. Thanks for those info about HUD and so on, I've seen your work and they're really impressive!!
  23. Latest photo @ 27th June. Some diorama planning, for sure. "I saw a big fish when I was fishing with my friends near the lake last weekend, it's like THIS BIGGGGG" The clear parts given by Trumpeter are a little too thick to me, so I made one by using iPhone screen protector and painted with Sharpie marker pen. PE Parts inside of canopy, actually I only installed 3 pieces instead of 6 pieces including rear view mirrors and some unknown parts. Okay guys, that's all for now, will keep this post up to date! Thank you!
  24. Primed with Gunze Mr.Primer Surfacer 1000. Replace the Hydraulic retractable rod with copper rod. Saturn AL-31 PE detailing exhaust nozzle - the most expensive among all PE parts. Primed with Gunze Mr.Primer Surfacer 1000. Gunze 28 - Steel on the engine intake inner PE. New PE parts added, for more details. The exhaust nozzle, first time making this kind of painting, having a hard time here. First time using AK products too, let's try it out. Mr.Hobby 335 Grey applied. I choose Orange for the ladder. Gunpod metal plate. Go bling bling. Some basic. The tail fin decals are up. Sentiasa di angkasa raya. Fishbone Inc. made, this chrome fishbone means the end of decals application. The chrome decal sunk nicely. LIMA'13 tail fin are up, almost all stencils are up as well. Continue the touch up on exhaust nozzle. Cockpit detail, thanks to PE parts. Landing gears installed, test-fit PE ladders. Panel line time! Let's try this. Attempting to present wear & tear with minor rust effect caused by insufficient maintenance. Panel wash by using AK Interactive paneliner, weathered with AK Interactive Exhaust wash, Engine oil & Kerosene Leaks and Stains. I was being very anxious since I never use AK Interactive products before. Install the ladders.
