Steve this is class, great idea and well executed. As a kid I loved Duxford and seeing classics like Candyman/Moose and the red rippers bearcat. Looking forward to seeing the next additions to your warbird collection, given me the inspiration to dig out my BBMF set and finish it off.

Nice builds Steve, recently managed to get my hands on an Academy Buchon so thought about doing a double build with my Airfix spit mk 1 especially after the Battle of Britain tribute at flying legends this year.

Looking good. Just one point, if I may. The prop hubs would not have been left in natural metal during the war, especially on a nightfighter. They would have been painted the same black as the prop blades or covered with a conical spinner,
Chris
Thanks for the heads up I will amend tomorrow 👍🏻

Are we looking for just 5 recruits to push this through to the vote? Armour, aircraft, motorbikes, volksgrenadiers, American airborne figures, woods, snow, barbed wire fences, tigers, panzers, p47, p51, 190, 109, endless opportunities in this one
I believe so, 5 more still needed.

Think I have a Hasegawa Ki-100 that would suit this GB nicely.

No, Hellcats were not used in the Coral Sea. I don't think they even had the later model Wildcats by Coral Sea.
I'll save her for the Grumman build 👍🏻 might have something else in the stash to fit this GB criteria.

Good afternoon Blitz23
You can always build your Hellcat in the Grumman Gb which start in October 20 ...
Cheers
Patrice
I had originally thought that, but I have a Tigercat under 25% which I started a while ago which I'd quite like to get done for the Gruman GB as its a fantastic looking aircraft.

Are Carrier aircraft only limited to the battle of midway and coral sea? I've got a late Hellcat I wouldn't mind entering maybe.

Reviving this one tonight gents, thing it's the turrets that will hold me up the most. Pics to follow later on tonight hopefully 👍🏻

Good evening Blitz23
Me too I like 8th Air Force Fighters but so far we need just one more participant to see this Gb next year and have a date .
So if you know someone who might be interested .
Cheers
Patrice
I'm sure we won't have any trouble finding one more for a Mustang build.

Beautiful build that, always loved the early European schemes on P-47s.
