Astronaut Birthdays

Do you share your birthday with an astronaut? Chances are the answer is yes, particularly if you extend the definition of 'astronaut' to cover not just those who have flown in space but all those waiting for a flight, plus people who were selected for missions that never took place (there were a lot of those in the wake of the Challenger accident) and backups, etc. etc.

 

What I'm planning to do, if people are interested, is a daily post listing the astronauts born on that day. All of this information is in the public domain, so Mike needn't worry about the Data Protection people banging on his door. The main source is the superb website Spacefacts - located in Germany but in English.
