Tim The sponge is the one that comes to protect the electrical equipment. Then cut it into pieces. Regards ajcmac

Tim As Chris said, I used a sponge. I made a mixture of dark brown and black, Vallejo Model Color, wet the sponge with paint, I spent it with kitchen paper to remove the excess and then just apply it. Regards ajcmac

Duncan B Sorry but my English is not good. Sprues F-4 sprues are identical to F-2. Bring a sprue changed, with different wings for the F-4 (D sprue). Brings a new sprue (sprue F) with the tail without reinforcements, a new propeller, a filter for tropical version and parts for the wings, the guns, bombs and additional deposit. I hope this time have given the correct answer. The wells of the landing gear and engine support finished. Now the cockpit. Regards ajcmac
-
Duncan B Brings options for various types of weapons or additional fuel tank. To my knowledge none of the options is for the F-2 (F-6) of Galland. Regards ajcmac

And after the RLM 02, I applied the lights and shadows. The landing gear wells. Engine cowling. The separator firebreak and engine mounts. Thanks for watching. Regards ajcmac

Thanks for your comments and follow . I painted the landing gear wells and the inside of the wings I'm thinking leave it open. The idea, with the help of a friend, is to make a small diorama. I use an EP that was already here and with some parts missing. Do not really like the EP because usually the color is not identical to the colors we use. I usually just use the seat belts. I painted the XF-63 with PE. Can see color difference comparing with the pieces 29 and 30 (right IP). Regards ajcmac

Thank you for your comments. I started the firebreak (I think is what it's called). Already painted with RLM 02 XF-22 from Tamiya. Then, the interiors. Everything has already glued, missing pilot's seat and rudder pedals that will be painted without being glued. I added some cables and wires. Hope you enjoy. Regards ajcmac

Hi. Here's what I hope to have completed by the end of this G.B. The new Bf 109 F4 of Zvezda. The sprues are basically the same of F-2. F-4 F-2 The sprue D is identical but the wings (bottom) are different. The F-4 brings another sprue (F) which have several options arms and tail of the model without the four reinforcements used in F-2. It also brings the air filter used in tropical models. My idea is to build the model «White 5» Gerhard Barkhorn. Regards ajcmac

Honza K. I can not take pictures because I do not have the camera with me. Only at the end of next week. But I can confirm that the camber angle is 0. Is wrong? I have diagrams showing the camber and I seem to be correct. Regards ajcmac

Thanks for your words . Rick Not pre-shading but post-shading. Tamiya paints. XF-23 Lights XF-23 + a few drops of white (XF-02) and 80% thinner. Shadows XF-01 black and about 80% thinner. The same for the other colors. Regards ajcmac

And after a long time without finishing a model, I reached the end of the Il-2 Tamiya 1/48. A bit expensive kit,a very detailed model and with some spectacular fittings. Basically just took putty at the joints of the fuselage and to check if everything was all right. The interiors. The model ready. Regards ajcmac

The instruction sheet says that the wheel wells and doors must be painted Interior Green. In many photographs that I found the P-38 or they are painted, I suppose, Neutral Grey when the planes are painted OD / NG and MFN as the plane is not painted. The problem is that all the photos I could see are restored aircraft. Will someone help me? What color are the landing gear wells? Regards ajcmac

I started the model starting with the landing gear wells. I glued the PE. The side walls were smooth, without any details. I added some panels and rivets. Now I have to wait for the new paint Gunze arrive. to start painting. I bought the new set of Gunze with the colors for the interior. Regards ajcmac
