Dermo245
Hi everyone and here's my first for this year - Revell's lovely 1/72 Fw-190 A8 converted to an A6 'Neptun' nightfighter. She was built for a Nightfighter GB on the IPMS Ireland forum (which ends this week); you can see more of our GB builds here. This kit was built mostly OOB but with the following changes - I cut open the rear canopy and used a replacement donated (Academy I think). The wingtip pitot was moved inboard and the nose guns modified to A6 version. The Neptun radar aerials were scratchbuilt from 5 amp fusewire. Like all my builds, the kit was brush painted with Revell Acrylics and the mottle was added with a small make-up sponge. Future, Promodellers and matt varnish finished it off. Decals were a mix of Revell (from the kit) and Tamiya for unit insignia and 'White 11'. If you're interested, my build thread is here Thanks for looking!Dermot Edited February 4, 2013 by Dermo245
clift
Nice job overall, one suggestion, you might want to replace the canopy as it is the bubble style (not the correct type for the kit you've built. Otherwise
