Smiffy Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Went about 50% too much on weathering, but it'll do: Ohh, I dunno. I think the weathering looks pretty good, myself. With a little work, some of these old kits scrub up quite nicely, don't they. Lovely job.
Will Vale Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Very nice, it's definitely got the AT-AT presence. I like the photographs a lot too, really crisp. 1
Anthony Kesterton Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Very nice paint job in this kit - just read your other post about finding the old build and deciding to paint it. Did you every manage to remove the old paint on the snowspeeders? Also - I would be very interested in how you took the photos - they came out very nicely. regards anthony
Alan Kelley Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 I think the weathering looks sot on- this would great in a dio- looking forward to seeing that
dr_gn Posted May 13, 2012 Author Posted May 13, 2012 Thanks guys. I got most of the paint off the Snowspeeders using Mr.Muscle oven cleaner in the end, but it was a struggle. It took some time. The photos were nothing special - I wanted just sky as background, so (where I live) needed a high surface, shot from a low viewpoint. I covered the car roof in a white cloth and put the model on that. Obviously the sky came out overexposed, but there you go. Cheers.
Mike Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Lovely job - I've got one of these in the workshop loft, which I dismantled for moving 10-12 years ago and never put back together. Must dig it out & fix it up again. I think all my guns bit the dust over the years due to my careless handling
Chablar Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 That looks great. I remember making one of these when i was little and i really did a bad job of it. I wouldntind doing one again
vanandjuanunited Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 thats not 50% overdone thats 100% perfect Excellent looking build
