  1. The Venom family is ripe for Airfix. The CA and Mikro Mir ones are decent but not mass market and a bit hard to get hold of.
  2. Looks like this does not include the bombardier couch and bomb sight, like the Monogram? I can only see the single .30 gun although some bits of the twin mount seem to be there. It will be interesting to see but the GWH seems more comprehensive and the Mgram still stacks up well based on these pics. Inter
  3. I seem to remember the thin volume on the P-51 by Squadron had paintings of the F-82 interior. The In Colour series, not the In Action
  4. Thanks guys. Some useful stuff and yes I have the Airies monograph on the Rench A26 as well as both SS books. The penny is dropping that there is little on the armour bulkhead for a WW2 machine and with the pics provided here I can do a decent job. The Mgram kit is a little Chucky in the beam, but over all decent model will result so thanks.
  5. Thanks guys. Yes I M looking to do a WW2 C using one of my Monogram kits (still love them, although I also have some ICMs'). I understand that some of the details in this area in Korean War era and I am looking to backdate appropriately and add detail as required.
  6. Hi Any pics out there for a WW2 era Invaders glass nose position? Looking specifically for the rear bulkhead as well bottom details of the guns often added on the s/B side of the nose. Cheers Sean
  7. My pleasure Alan. I had it for years and am thrilled to see it get built! Cheers Sean
  8. Tamiya do a blue grey that is good for intermediate blue, the actual colour name you require. It also varied and weathered quite a bit HTH
  9. Thanks This is useful, although I will try to scratch first
  10. New request BITD an article by Ian Day in Quarter Scale Modeller gave plans to correct the early Monogram float to the larger version suit a Smear Swordfish float as a base. Can anyone scan or send me a copy as mine has gon AWOL Cheers Sean
  11. Thanks for the replies. Don't fancy a Chinese version, so I reckon I will need to doy Monogram kit as the M variant and acquire a Tamiya J/L. Thanks all Sean
  12. Any decent drawings or photos of the seat or side consoles of the Night Lightning RO cockpit out there? Cheers Sean
  13. Hi Is anyone aware of and decals for an P-38L in OD/grey? I want to build my Monogram kit, which is essentially a reasonably accurate L with oil pumps/lights/gun camera and want to alter as little as possible to preserve the raised detail . At the same time, as an offer kit, I want to avoid a N/M finish. Any appropriate decals sheets out there or books? My gut feeling is most L model machines went to the Pacific theatre inetal but you never know. Don't worry, I am not nuts, but like a challenge and have HASAGAWA, ACADEMY and TAMIYA kits to follow up with. Cheers Sean
  14. Both are great products so it comes down to complexity and how quickly you want to build your model. The Tamiya is their usual fantastic great fitting product. The Mini Art is quite a fiddly but very detailed kit. I have all the Tamiya boxings and the Mini Art. TBH my kit of choice is Tamiya, primarily due to my time for hobbies.
