If the kits from the 3 companies will all be good, then no problem: as I need at least an F.1, an F.2A, an F.3 and 2 F.6 then I will buy a few of each !!!

Giorgio

Very true. I need a few F.6`s and maybe the odd F.3 for my Sqd shelf. Now all we need is one of the manufactures to release a T-bird Lightning and we`ll be sorted.

It does leave you feeling kinda sorry for MPM - can't see that there's much point producing their F3 now unless they pack it with resin extras and etched brass. Guess that's what happens when you advertise a new release years before you actually produce the kit.

One assumes that Academy will also do a F1/3 of some sort eventually, so it'll be a straight fight between them and Trumpeter. Hopefully at least one of the kits will be excellent!

Now all we gotta do is wait for someone to produce a really good resin T-bird conversion!

Javelins? I would think that subject is dead and buried considering the various kits that have already been produced, and which didn't sell all that well. As for Shackletons, I'm amazed that nobody has tackled it yet - it ought to be a good subject for Trumpeter if they're confident enough to produce a Gannet, but then, the way things are going, maybe Airfix will look at it before too long - hope so anyways!

Sometimes I wonder if the idea of a Hastings or a Varsity kit isn't quite so absurd as I've often thought - let's face it, they'll be running out of subjects to cover soon!

Neither Academy or their importers are in attendance at the London Toy Show, had a good look round today, only Airfix and Revell had kits on show.

Robin.

Anything interesting?

I'm curious abouut the updated Rafale kit. I put off snagging a Hobbyboss one when I saw it listed

Hi Robin, Did you bump into Kevin there? He's been running around like a blue - behinded bluebottle over the last week or so, trying to arrange MMC members to finish off certain items for Airix/the show. I had an invite to attend the show, but thought it just wasn't worth it - as only Hornby & Revell were attending....

Nuremburg is where it all happens Robin!!!

true - the London show is a bit of a waste of time. I remember when we used to send an IPMS delegation about twenty years ago, but we stopped going because it was such a waste of time (and IPMS money!).
