AnonymousAA72
Built in a week!! Yeah! in places it shows - the weathering MAY be a tad overdone in places BUT- what a great tonic to actually finish something!!! Anyway here she is - in all her tatty glory, as XF442 /"81" of 58 (Shadow) Sqn would have appeared whilst training future Jaguar pilots at RAF Wittering in 1974ish. Revell's spanking new 1/72nd FGA9 - well worth the wait! Decals from the kit and a 30+ year old Modeldecal sheet!! Paints all Xtracrylic...matted down with Revell Aqua "Farblas"...... StephenMG
Nce work Bill, are you going to do an FR.10 now with the Quickboost nose?Stephen Crikey, I wouldn't. Quickboost obviously designed that nose without ever once looking at an FR.
TEZ
Crikey, I wouldn't. Quickboost obviously designed that nose without ever once looking at an FR.10 The Quickboost 'FR10' nose is undoubtedly wrong, however the nose does resemble a simplified recce nose carried by some Hunters for training. This version seems to have utilised the standard nose section. I have a few pictures, which I will dig out, of Hunters (including a Wittering FGA 9) with this nose section. That single camera nose housed an F.95 strike camera and, yes, it was a standard nose piece converted by adding a small window in the lower starboard side. AnonymousAA72
Nce work Bill, are you going to do an FR.10 now with the Quickboost nose?Stephen I've already started one! Last week...its in the "Work In Progress" section, and no - I'm not using the QB nose (see thread for details - and discussion on that piece of resin!!).
