Big 40 Bex Hi Bex, Its just done with a silver paint which I get from B&Q. Its called Plasticoat. it goes on really fine and levels out well.. just touch it on with a very fine paint brush... John
Nope, doesn't look like any Sea Fury I've seen - sorry John All joking about the name plate aside, it's a lovely job. James Rankin was one of the highest scoring Scottish fighter pilots of WW2. I only have a couple of observations, which aren't really anything to do with the model. Firstly I would have expected the background to the Lion Rampant to be yellow, and didn't W3312 carry the Spitfire Fund name "Moonraker"?
