Pete, its a German IDS, very detailed kit but the one I have hada a lot of flash around the intakes and theyre a right git to put together, other than that, it aint bad value for money.

Blimey, that was quick folks

Dumb question - does it correspond to a RAF GR something-or-other then

Don't know much about Tonkas (as you might guess)

Like u when it comes to Tonkas I aint got a clue, its got swingy wings, 2 engines and goes like stink is my limit

Thanks guys, think I'll be parting with some cash tomorrow......

 glad to help Pete, if u nip over to the WIP area, you'll see my 1:32 Tonka Im working on slowly  nice kit, but the decals are right git, and the BLack Thunder is built virtually the same way just a ickle bit smaller

Actually there isn't. The LRMTS, Sky Shadow and a few other bits aren't in the various IDS/ECR boxings.

:viking:

Weapon pylons are different too.RAF Jets (GR1/A) were all Nuclear capable whereas all the other nations did'nt have that facility.

Indeed it was Croydon IKEA

The Tornado was in Modelzone Guildford.

Recovering with a cuppa - no cake in the house though

i got this kit in the modelzone sales too. the decal sheet is excellent. sometime ago hasegawa did a reissue of their tonka kit

with this scheme and the differences in interpretation between the two once you see them together are quite surprising. one

unusual thing about the RoG decal is that they have grey decals for the area of the wing root that swings back into the

fuselage which i'd not noted before on any other tonka decal sheet.
