Advice required please on applying decals.

Just want to apply decals ASAP and then give it a dust over with Games Workshop varnish.

Have Klear/Xtracrylix Gloss/Microset/Sol and would prefer not to gloss all over.

So what's the best way? Localised application of Klear or just Microset/Sol?

Soak your decals in Klear, then apply.

That will give you just the amount of coverage you need.

That's a new one on me! Do you mean put them in Klear to release them from the backing paper?

Interesting! I've used Klear as a decal fixative many times. But I've always soaked them in tepid water before. I must try your method.

No does not work!

Now using water & microset/sol. Paint is smooth enough as it was airbushed onto primer.

Something Ive done with satin finishes is to polish it. Using a T-shirt or fine poly material, I simply rubbed the flat or satin finish down to a sleeker surface.

You might want to give that a try.

Thanks dahut-I am trying to reduce unnecessary coats of "stuff" as it can ruin something that was OK previously!
