spike7451
I got the Italeri 1/48 scale one from my hobby shop at the weekend, the cockpit it up to Italeri's usual cr@ppy standard (WHY?? Decals don't cut it in this scale!) compared to the rest of the kit. What I need & can't find on the web is photo's of the rear cockpit,I've found photo's of the front one tho.I'm going to try & scratch build the sidewalls using a couple of old F-16 sidewalls, not too concerned about accuracy, just it looking better than decals! I remember seeing one in British markings somewhere as it was used by British Waste of Space (BAe) so I'm toying with that scheme or a Whiffy scheme using some Typhoon markings... sanguin
Dear Spike, A Gripen in RAF roundels would be great, but I have never seen one in pictures or real life. If you have details, please let me know! The nearest was the ETPS one, briefly marked with the Qinetiq logo, that bore the usual Flygvapnet tre kroner roundels: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/lofiver....php/t21654.htm http://www.flickr.com/photos/saabgroup/5496542634/ Markings are from Model Alliance or Two Bobs: http://www.theaviationworkshop.co.uk/index...products_id=168 http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/TB48177 Have fun, the 1/72 kit is equally sparse but harder to spot the deficiencies! spike7451
Cheers, I've made a start on the cockpit,it's quite aweful with no locating pins to alighn the various parts, the pilots IP is woefully undersize & the's a 1mm gap all around the IP & the shroud. So I'm thinking od using this; http://www.eduard.com/store/Eduard/JAS-39D...rchparam=gripen
