dwh
Has any member ever used and had experience of the Xtradecal range of decals, and if so how good are they as compared to say the Modeldecal range. I seem to recall a long time ago that they were manufactured by Microscale? Would that be correct. Derek

Would that be correct. I have used Xtradecals on many occasions. They are modern decals and so are thin and conform well to the surface to which they are applied. They are far thinner than Modeldecals. However, sometimes it is best to do some additional research as in a small minority of cases the schemes are not quite as accurate as could be wished. I would recommend them.
Giorgio N
As Enzo said, they are very thin and work very well. They were most likely printed by Microscale, don't know if it's still the case, however they compare favourably. Much thinner than modeldecal and without the latter's whitish adhesive to clean.... My main problem with them in the past has been that some sheets were not in good register. More recent sheets all seem to be fine, but be wary of the older ones. Some research might be needed not only because of the accuracy issues present in some sheets, but also because their instructions are nowhere as detailed as modeldecals, an area where I feel these could still teach a ing or two to man manufacturers even many years later.... Enzo the Magnificent
Enzo - I thought that was most delicately phrased!! Thank you! There are a number of people who have provided some in-depth research for these decals, but sadly it doesn't always make it to the finished product. Nevertheless, I would still recommend Xtradecals.
