tornado gr1 gray/green colours

The best tamiya green for a RAF plane is XF-81, as this colour is made specificlly for RAF planes.

XF-54 is kind of ok for dark sea grey as used on the tornado. I've never used XF-80, but from the pics loos a bit light IMHO.

I'm not sure XH558 is actually painted as the tornado: Vulcans in wrap-around scheme used dark sea grey, but XH558 was not one of the planes originally painted in this scheme so originally had dark green and medium sea grey uppersurfaces. The wrap around scheme was added during the "restoration" using a lighter grey, that to my eyes looks somewhere between dark and medium sea grey.

im struggling to find out what colour the intakes should be google wasnt much help

The inside edges are done in a black rubber 'paint' called Flexane,insides of the intakes are the same as the undercarraige & gear well,light gray.

You can see it here;

See where the airframe color changes to the light gray just inside the intake.Also,dont forget to open up the APU exhaust...

Yes,it's an F-3,but it's the same on the GR/IDS.
