Nigel Bunker
I was reading the November SAMI todayand came across the Airfix advert. Apparently they ahve available kit A04049, the very rare Curtis Siddeley Buccaneer S2B/S2D/SMk50. Now this is so rare that I can find no published record of it, so Airfix must have truly great researchers to ferret out this variant. Or perhaps they need better proof readers? Surely you've heard of the Blackburn Sea Tomahawks used by the RN in the Caribbean campaign? There was a decades-long reciprocal production agreement between Curtiss and Blackburn. The famous Curtiss Blackburn and the Curtiss Beverly? The Blackburn Blackhawk and Blackburn Pusher don't ring a bell to you??

The Blackburn Blackhawk and Blackburn Pusher don't ring a bell to you?? Not to mention the Blackburn Stepladder - which as you well know was the license built version of the Ascendor. Curtiss also had a little known link to Kawasaki, however plans to build a version of the Tony were shelved due to the war, and legal wranglings with MGM. time for a tablet I think Jonners

Nick Millman
These are all rare birds indeed - not as common as the Curtiss Myopia which is an all year round visitor notorious for replacing duck's eggs with its own sky grey variety.
