richellis
Braathens SAFE “Sommerflyet” Boeing 737 decal sheet. 1:144 decals from Lima November. The Boeing 737 is a narrow body twin engine medium range aircraft that first flew in 1967, and remains in production today, and has found a home with both military and civil operators around the world. Since the first flight in 1967 the 737 has been continually improved over the years The Boeing 737-200 is available in 1/144 scale for Airfix in their recently re-released injection moulded plastic kit or from Authentic Airliners with their complete resin kit. The second aircraft on the sheet is for a 737-500 “Classic” and this is available from Minicraft or one of the Skyline Daco kits. Braathens SAFE was founded in 1946 with its headquarters in Oslo Norway. Braathens started a tradition in 1988 by painting one of their 737-200s N197JQ in a summery livery, and then in 1990 they painted a 737-500 in a similar flower livery. This sheet will allow you to build both summery airliners The decal comes over one main sheet with a smaller additional sheet. As is normal with Lima November the sheet is screen printed and to the highest quality very sharp with vivid colours. It looks very comprehensive with differant window and door decals for the Minicraft and Daco kits, but you will need to source some window and door decals for the 737-200 model. the instructions come in the usual Lima Novemebr style, colour diagrams for decal placement and painting, with some information on the aircraft and airline. All very clear and easy to follow. Conclusion A nice set for a couple more colourful Braathens airliners. Even the wife like the look of these 737s, so they may get a slot in the front room when built! Review sample courtesy of
rhusberg
Hi Rich, Regarding LN144-520, the window and doors are the same sizes on the B737-200 and 500, so when building a 200, the just choose the ones you prefer. The reason for including for both Minicraft and Skyline, is for those who dont fill in the doors on the kits. richellis
No probs, I would have tried them out when building, but need to be sure before I put it in the review! Personaly you would be mad not to fill the minicraft doors, as they are in the wrong place! Anyway, I have a 737 to collect at SMW to stick them onto!
